A lot of the comments regarding the quality of local journalism are pretty accurate. @Red-Robbomakes some really good points and, if memory serves, he has a background in the Newspaper business. I didn't really bother about the EP/BL for ages but then along comes James Piercy who I think is the best sports writer I've ever read at the EP- he's honest, avoids sensationalism and really gets "under the bonnet" of what's going right or wrong. My favourite articles (win draw or lose) are by Piercy and Matt Withers and always worth a thorough read.

People actually believe the complete bollocks spouted on otib. There's a few on Facebook. If you genuinely believe that then you may have missed how football management works. Anything can happen to change what NP wants or what BCFC wants and, to a lesser extent, what the fans want. It goes for players as well- what NP, BCFC and the fans want is to keep our best but there is little evidence that these wishes will be granted.

To me - it's definitely a 6 pointer. Our team has had a torrid latter half to the season for several years and prior to NP although last season , the team went into a tail spin of defeats and had the season been any longer- we were relegation fodder. A win tonight will be enough to put us firmly in a scrap for mid table mediocrity whilst a loss against Reading will have us reaching for calculators and looking over our shoulders. As for OTIB meltdowns -well that happens whatever position we're in.

This is a six pointer however you look at it. If we win then we really can begin to relax in respect of being dragged into a battle. Too many teams have a superior GD and games in hand . We are more than capable of getting the points if everyone turns up and we're due another one of those performances that gives hope for the future rather than fear of the present.

Yes- on OTIB but time and time again OTIB confirms it's not always representative of the wider fan base. At best we get about 500 ish followers on a match day and a hell of a lot less on the site on a non match day. BCFC have well over 10,000 ST holders who go to matches and are not on here but OTIB has a significant number of of regular posters who for various reasons never attend matches and comment from France or Africa, Europe USA etc. Or the most popular geographic location-their sofa. None of which put money in the bank and just look at how many free streams are promoted on here. The point I make is that the 'free hit' you mention is on here but not what I'm hearing at matches. NP is meh to too many already and those that count. Like me, they are running out of patience with a manager who breaks all the wrong records and is only too willing to verbally destroy a player he's pissed off with. The Bakinson ordeal was disgraceful and embarrassing. Who came out of this with any "class"? This is a factual observation not an agenda.

He may not have been great but he's probably our greatest prospect and at his age cannot be expected to be a revelation every game. To say he he doesnt look interested is just plain wrong on every level.
