  1. Ok, Dave ( and FYI @GrahamC )- how do you explain Blackburn ( where I felt we were incredibly lucky - missed pen and a moment of sheer class as a result of a massive miss kick) against the results and much of the performance at Barnsley,Birmingham, Forest and Coventry? We got lucky (overall) against Blackburn but it was just one win amongst 5 losses. Another capitulation and a pattern that seems to mirror the same pattern at the end of last season. Every two steps forward is matched with two steps back. There are flashes of progress and hope which are continually extinguished within a game or two and then same old same old. How do you explain that since Nige joined us we have NEVER won two games in a row in over a year across two part seasons. How do you explain that Nigel Pearson is seemingly incapable of coaching his defence? How do you explain the fact that we have conceded 67 goals so far this season and only two teams have conceded more- Reading and Peterborough (73 & 72)? How do you explain that in 50 NP league games and two transfer windows - 28 are losses and 10 are draws? How do explain that he has beaten or matched some of the worst records in our club's history? If it was solely about the players then we would already be in L1 or preparing for it. For some. criticism of Nige is seen as just an agenda not a rational opinion. Clearly James Piercy and Matt Withers have a similar agenda? I'm perfectly aware that mine is not a populist opinion but I say it as I see it. It's not a popularity contest although, sadly, it is for some! And for those who love to post misinformation- the last time I posted deeply critical comments about NP was November 6th 2021 - this very thread. I give credit where credit is due.
  2. Win every game- hahahaha! When have we ever done that? Everyone's fault bar the Manager. Sorry- I question him. Just about every Manager has a better track record over the same time scale.
  3. Im having a meltdown. If we weren't so unlucky , had such a bad ref, denied a penalty(s) and hadnt had to compete with Barnsley's parachute payments then.... we'd still be crap, over a year and never two games won in a row. Terrible management, terrible coaching. My opinion- get over it.
  4. I'd prefer him to stay but he's obviously keeping his options open and fair play to him. He may be better suited to a different set up. Irrespective, I really hope he gets in form asap because his value could be crucial to the summer rebuild and potentially prevent us from selling others.
  5. Instead we have a team of Iam Sprouts ( although not quite today)
  6. Difficult to move property, ownership of his UK business empire and Chelsea itself, Tom A big chunk of his dirty money stays here and hopefully will eventually go towards building new hospitals to replace the ones his murdering friend has demolished.
  7. I abhor violence. The one thing that is absolutely guaranteed is an away fan sitting in a section of youngish City fans and celebrating a goal unless we are winning 10-0. It doesn't make it right but a violent reaction is as odds on as an arrest at a protest in Moscow. The stupidity of football fans has no boundaries or limits but even the most ignorant know that if you sit with the opposition fans- shut the **** up or get a slap or two.
  8. I agree broadly but I'm not convinced those who throw objects/ embarrassing idiots are also supporting anything good that the rest of us are. One of my most enduring memories ( God knows I've tried to forget that evening) was Joe Jordan coming to "have a word" with fans at Trumpton.
  9. It;s mathematically a real possibility. If we collapse like we did last season's run in - it's not going to be pretty. But I refer you to my final sentence which you fail to quote.
  10. The first time I watched Chelski was back in the day when Turner and Taylor lead us to a 3-1 victory in BS3 FA Cup . My memory is that the away fans in the old open end ( Atyeo) decided to rip the tiles off a shed which was where the press box is now. They were firing them at us as we left via the Williams stand. Thugs in the ground and out of the ground. Today v Burnley in support for Ukraine at their match v Burnley they interrupted the applause to support their oligarch friend of Putin. They have confirmed everything I dislike about chelsea fans and I hope they mirror Bolton. Let's see how they do without dodgy money.
  11. Scary, squeaky bum but safe- neither the players or NP are that bad. However, the fact Cardiff have risen above us in the table with a superior GD is the source of utter annoyance.
  12. Really good point and something that @Davefevshas mentioned in that maybe NP will move "upstairs" and younger coach on coaching. There is no doubt that there's got to be some tough love yet NP has done very little ,imo, to transform the team. After over a year and a pitiful record, I dont think this is an unreasonable statement.
  13. A very fair comment. As I posted earlier I don't get why both the manager and the players are , on their day, very impressive yet revert to type the next. I am unable to accept that the failures of our season is wholly down to crap players.
  14. It's all about the players and never about preparation, or tactics or strategy- just shit players. Yawn.
  15. What I genuinely don't get is that we see glimpses of what this team can be capable of and glimpses of what Pearson can be. But they are just flashes and after over a year and two transfer windows we continue to get games like this as the norm. Let's see if Nige can turn it around and scrape a draw which would be very good and about what I would have expected.
  16. None But just remember that the usual suspects will gang up on you if you suggest that there could be something lacking with the current manager. Personally- I thinks he's lacking nothing except a plan.
  17. Brilliantly- just really unlucky ,shit ref and parachute payments
