The third round of the cycling Tour of Britain took place today in Bristol. Clearly the organisers of the Tour have no preconception of the devastating effect that holding this event so close to a 15ers home match is likely to have upon their gate. That this event should have been held as the gas supporters still come to terms with the newly installed foot pedal controlled, completely automated turnstiles is a low blow indeed. A match against a well supported Plymouth Argyle team should easily attract a 10k crowd but I suspect that it now won't even reach 9k and it will all be the fault of the cycling. Oh and the turnstiles. Oh and the missing Row M.
