  1. If I were chairman of Dings I'd put another padlock on the gates tonight.
  2. Excuse me. I need no #geologic to know that when they were relegated out of the entire football league, it was a good thing. Of course, according to them they never actually left the football league, participating instead in the newly formed fifth tier.
  3. Weren't they only ever in the relegation places in League 2 for the final 13 minutes of that season?
  4. Those that do have to take their own bundle of programmes to stand on. If there are to be no more programmes in future then it'll likely have a negative effect on their gates.
  5. 10,029 (1,303 away) so 8,726 15ers bothered to turn up. They need a bigger ground, you know. Build it and they won't come (well it was a nice day, wasn't it?)
  6. Thank goodness its not just me that's been singled out!
  7. I have a 'disposable' email address which I have used over the years only to receive any and all communications BCFC related. This includes season tickets, OTIB etc. I've had this same email address for well over ten years. Today at 12.28pm, for the very first time ever, I received an email to that address containing the Bristol Rovers Weekly Newsletter. Am I alone in suddenly receiving this? Suddenly, I don't want to look in my inbox because I feel that its integrity has been defiled. Has Bristol Sport been hacked? Is it WikiLeaks? Is it Russia? Is it the Jordanian Secret Service? Is it Henbury Gas? We need answers ...
  8. And apparently they still have to provide their own bundle of programmes to stand on.
  9. Must have taken you a while to put that together. These things take t...
  10. Their losses in the last two years will I guess have been slightly improved due to the sales of Bodin and Taylor. To achieve a similar level of loss in the current year presumably they'll need to sell for a similar fee Harrison or well, a tent? Failure to sell will further weaken their financial position?
  11. We don't need this kind of talk on here Eddie. Go sit on the stairs and think about what you've said.
  12. They really are the gift that keeps on giving and so thoughtful of them to be so during an international break which can be so tedious
  13. "If you want to come with us to the football, you'll have carry your own programme step because I'm not going to lug them there and back".
  14. I think that you mean MFI. Buy now, pay later.
  15. If the 15ers did default and the asset transferred to the lender, what would the lender possibly do with a football ground and nobody to play in it? It's a structure which surely has limited use? The lender would need to be certain that the foot club will exist through the term of the deal otherwise the lender would be in the Brown stuff.
  16. A good summary of possible goings on, Eddie. Thanks. For this to be appealing to any third party investor, use of the stadium and its infrastructure would need to be maximised. Many of our fellow supporters dislike the Bristol Sport concept and sharing AG with the egg chasers but in truth, it's a more sound business model than would have been seen had City gone forward alone. It enables the stadium to be used for sporting events every week through the season added to which it has quickly become established as a popular events and conference venue. In a city the size of Bristol, there is only room for one Bristol Sport concept - and we're a cornerstone of it and thus, able to enjoy the benefits of it. Any 'other football club' in the city will use their ground on just 23 occasions each season, plus cup ties - so just 23 occasions then. For conference facilities, they will find themselves competing with hotels, us (with the prospect of a new arena rumoured to be planned by SL) and the city council - once their new arena is built at TM. I accept that may be someday, one day or maybe never but if it is ever built, competition for conferences and events in Bristol will become extremely fierce. I just don't see how the likely profit from 23/365 (see what I did there?) events can entice a non-partisan investor to part with £30-40m.
  17. Fortunately for Wael, he doesn't have the worry about stopping at traffic lights because the gashead throng carry him straight past them and on down the Gloucester Road.
  18. This time in 5 years Rodney, Wael'll be a billionaire.
