  1. I'm ashamed but I have to admit to something that I have in common both with Wally and Bristol Rovers Football Club ... I've never built a stand.
  2. You gentlemen are extremely generous. Are these same offers open to other nice guys? Just asking for a friend.
  3. "People keep on saying we don't have a plan B or C, but we do have a plan B, C, D and E. We all know that we need new facilities and we are working hard behind the scenes to achieve that, it's going to take time." Well that's a surprise.
  4. In the light of the earthquake today combined the the heartbreaking scenes of Bristol Rovers fans trapped in a tiny confined space with only a single 48" TV screen to keep them in touch with reality, Oxfam has announced it will deploy its resources to the Memorial Ground to fck some sense into them.
  5. If you build it, they will come. If you steal it, only 8,500 will bother.
  6. I've slowed down a bit. It's now 9 to 5 until about 5 to 5. Most certainly finished before Countdown starts.
  7. Bloody slagchat. What I actually posted was "I’ve been dreaming about doing it again with Dolly Parton for 50 years“
  8. Sorry Stevie but I had to correct this. I'll expect a "I just don't have the words to express how much I like this post!" from him very shortly.
  9. (In a Jordanian accent ...) "No, I said these things take time - not just three seasons."
  10. Uh nope. "It would be good for Bristol football ...". That's the sort of thing that you'd expect the mayor to say and with respect, he and his tube system are 'kin delusional. How exactly would it be good for Bristol football? I can only think of one - it would benefit the 15ers. It wouldn't benefit us, Manor Farm, Mangos etc, Downs football yada, yada. So where would you see benefit?
  11. 9,219 (126 away). Heaving. Need more tents.
  12. I agree. A City supporter just wouldn't behave like that
  13. A front page headline for The Post: "ENGLISH LANGUAGE MURDERED BY POST JOURNALIST"
  14. I did briefly meet a Barnsley lass once but I never heard her speak because she had her mouth full.
  15. You're mistaking Miah with his sister and his wife. She's a lovely lady.
  16. Neither evolution nor revolution but devolution - ie descent to a lower or worse state.
  17. It's wrong to expect Miah to quickly return to his good natured self. These things take time.
  18. He meant "sanitary" because Ashton Gate is clean, comfortable, well kept and professionally managed; the polar opposite of the Memorial Ground. Our pitch is like a billiard table too - despite hosting both football and rugby (I thought that they told us our pitch would suffer with both teams using it?). Theirs is unfit for league football despite only the first team using it once each fortnight (they don't get involved in cup competitions so it's hardly overused). Even using the tactic of keeping the ball in the air does nothing to prevent the ground cutting up. I know which ground I'd prefer. So does @Jarman but he can't bring himself to admit it. If "old fashioned terracing" is so desirable, why do all 15ers crave a new ground? Clue: because they've succeeded in turning an old fashioned rugby ground into a practically uninhabitable (judging by their attendances) crock of shit.
  19. It's Grimsby that deserve our scorn for taking just 2000 fans to a Wembley final.
