  1. Couldn't bring myself to look for this on the Daily Mail website, the Post is the lesser evil. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/latest-damning-indictment-wael-al-2311608.amp
  2. If you are an out of work manager, then there must already be questions over your reputation. Reality is, few managers who are looking for work will have had a premiership wage going in to retirement, so the chance to early 100k (with the likely payoff) is probably too good an opportunity to turn down.
  3. Reality is, both Holloway or Cotts would take the job - jobs are limited and the pool of candidates quite high. It'll be 70k a year, with a bonus for keeping them up, roll on next summer and they won't have the support they thought they would and cracks will start to show. Just can't imagine either of them working in such a restricted environment.
  4. Not sure Twerton would be up to league standard - unless someone put some money towards improvements, which they would probablywant back at some point, and they best way of doing that would be to take part ownership, which is just a route in to stadium theft...
  5. Isn't Fanta 'Nazi Cola'? Sure I read a story once that alluded to Fanta being a drink that was created under sanctions.
  6. Have you ever tried getting 4 people in a 'four man tent? The number quoted is probably quite different in reality.
  7. But, but, but... 40,000 - locked out - half the City support us - we da best and most loyal..... https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bristol-rovers-sunderland-charlton-athletic-2300560
  8. Not sure the Mem is Premier League ready. Even if the sprinklers are.
  9. So do they give 6 months notice to local residents for league games when 6000 are locked out and are in the carpark?
  10. They will get a ZZ cover band, to fit in with their stadium... ZZ Big Top.
  11. A big failing from The fewers (aka the most loyal fans in the world) - is that they have never mobilised and formed any sort of unified group that can challenge the club.
  12. Typical of the fewers... when most clubs mention their WAGS you generally think of some surgically enhanced peroxide blonde, with them you get a poodle and an Bassett hound.
  13. You have to remember that Higgs only kept him on when he took them to the conference was because they couldn't afford to sack him as they were still paying off previous managers.
  14. Proper tipped down earlier around here.
  15. Be reasonable, the 29th is the most important of all the anniversaries. I didn't acknowledge my 30th birthday, I was so drained from celebrating my 29th, there was little I could do. Would have probably struggled to mark my 37th birthday if I had managed to celebrate my 29th at a venue with an affordable bar. Still regret having a dress code, mind.
  16. Swindon - inbreds and roundabouts. Fewers - leg-ends and ampersands.
  17. That was the first thing that jumped out at me, well, that and the fondness for ampersands. With a poster of that quality, you have to assume that the person who made it will be redesigning our club badge.
  18. And are you also able to confirm that both local clubs are fully up to date with payments for policing and neither team has outstanding invoices?
  19. Well, that's where I have disagreed with a Fewer in work. Their development squad won some sort of title last season, and it was put to me that, 'are you not worried that within a year, we will have the better youth set up?' Me pointing out that our most talented youth players were out on loan getting experience at varying League Clubs to prepare them for life as a senior professional was met with a 'So you are worried then!' response.
  20. If he is out of full time employment and someone offers him a contract then regardless of the state of the club he is going to be interested.
  21. Be amazed if they were struggling financially this early in the season. Whilst they are constantly mockable, they do record fairly strong gates.
  22. Could be worse, at least it wasn't someone like Hitchin Town.
