  1. So even more money wasted by Bristol Energy then... @Tristan Cork
  2. Assume that if they have to apply for planning permission, people can file an objection. 'An embarrassment to our City' would be mine. Concorde, Clifton Suspension Bridge, Floating harbour...... a selection of tents.
  3. But did you ever try and get a Billy Bookcase home on the bus afterwards?
  4. To be fair, football specials (whilst part of the problems of the 70s and 80s) WOULD get more fans travelling. The costs of using the rail network for national journeys is a blocker for a number of people.
  5. So they still have a few years to go until they reach those dizzy heights.
  6. How long can a temporary structure be up for before it is no longer considered to be temporary? Reckon the Fewers could be entering Norris McWhirter territory with the way things are going.
  7. Probably the Eastville rebuild after it burnt down. That said, I think the fans raised money to put a roof over a terrace at the Mem.
  8. Cheers! I might have a stab after Bodyguard!
  9. Anyone know how to set up one of those online petition thing? We need to start one, for exactly the same reasons they want it removed, it needs to remain. The comedy if we get more signatures than them will last year's. https://www.ipetitions.com/petition/take-it-down?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=&quote_id=quote3&title_id=title3&recruiter=12981966&loc=view-petition
  10. Did this for them, might make a change from singing the Plymouth Argyle song, Goodnight Irene. Hop in my tent, cos my name sounds like whale And i'm about to set sail! I got me a tent, it seats about twenty, so come on And bring your snack-box money The WAQ shack is a little old place where We can get locked out from. WAQ shack baby A WAQ shack baby WAQ shack, baby WAQ shack
  11. All the best with your recovery fella.
  12. To be fair to them, some of the have a sense of humour about this ground improvement. They have started to call it the WAQ SHACK.
  13. I hope the new stand can cope with the excitement.
  14. Further developments are planned for those on the breezey Blackthorn End and as soon as a sponsor is found they'll be making further additions.
  15. I wonder if the shed they put in for their disabled supporters survived the stormy weather last night.
  16. Bless em. Despite years of disappointment, they all sound really really disappointed at this latest improvement. But, as they always do, they'll be too afraid to raise any complaints in case they get called a 'gurt Ted'.
  17. It could be argued that having your view obscured by a tent, causing you to miss the action would be a match day experience enhancement.
  18. The 'erection squad' have dropped a bollock there. I thought the groundsheet went down first.
  19. They also spend a lot of their time converting celcius to fahrenheit using similar methods. Last week, it was 102 in the shade at the Mem.
  20. Pretty sure the conference final has a fairly large neutral area as well. Was probably a good few thousand fans of conference football who just wanted a day out.
  21. Any idea what the actual total attendance was?
  22. You aren't suggesting that more fans travelled to West Brom than attended a home game are you? (That said, if we were in League 1 with that joke of a competition I wouldn't go either, so I don't blame them for boycotting).
