  1. Genuine question regarding both City and Rovers. What is the academy status of both?
  2. Millwall v Barnsley - trouble. Just check any newspaper/media portal.
  3. Or Villa if he wanted a project. Bloody billionaires, buying the ready made solution.
  4. Well I for one am shitting myself. #WEREcomingforyou
  5. Looks like the new stadium for the lock-out lads might take a bit longer than expected. Rumours that Wally is looked at tarting up the Mem as the offers to finance the new build aren't as plentiful as hoped. And for a billionaire he doesn't seem to want to pay for it himself. Which if this was the great investment you'd think he would be all over it. Maybe this explains the lack of investors interested.....
  6. Sure most of us have experienced it at some point, you tell work you're leaving, and they find you a new opportunity that wasn't available before you set your stall out. And you are left wondering if it wasn't for you raising the subject, would it have ever happened? DC - 3 year deal.... The board don't rate him that much, clearly.

  8. Was it the season before last DC started pre season by taking down the 'DC OUT' posters that had been put up around your training field?
  9. The amount of money Wally seems to want to drop on people in directorial roles is amazing. Don't imagine Redknapp getting out of bed for less than 100k a year, plus expenses.
  10. Rolling contracts generally have their duration to go at any one point. Thus 'rolling' rather than fixed term.
  11. Amazed none of the Rovers fans who pop in here has passed comment on the 'Wally isn't wealthy' statements that have been made. Guessing the next couple of months will tell the whole story. But you'd be surprised if he hasn't already added close to half a million to the wage bill with the directors he has employed since taking control. That can't leave a huge amount of wiggle room for new players, no if Dopey has been offered a new deal. You also wonder if the new deal is because they want him to stay, or if they want maximum compensation should he elect to move on, can't imagine a 12 month rolling contract commands as much compo as a 3 year deal from the clubs point of view.
  12. So Wally bought his second choice club having been turned down by Gillingham and now Leeds want to get their second choice manager having been turned down by the MK manager.
  13. Interesting to see if he does go where that'll leave them. Would imagine Dopey would have got more from the side with less investment than a new manager will, but if the squad is already heavy with non league players following the decision to offer them all new deals, could take several transfer windows for someone to build a squad they are happy with. Assuming of course that Wally has any money.
  14. Some classics on their forum. Apparently DC wouldn't go to Leeds for the money..... Quite agree, if I had spent my life in the lower echelons of the football pyramid I would be sure that the salary Salisbury paid me would leave me financial secure for the rest of my life, before I was able to add to my property portfolio by being Rovers assistant manager and then being their non league manager would have just meant spare car for my ever growing Faberge egg collection. Bloke would be doing well if he ever earned 50k in a given year.
  15. Best hope we get Leeds early then! Leeds don't take part in the manager of the month awards, they have Manager For The Month.
  16. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Twas entertaining.
  17. I've read this several times and I'm still not sure I follow. Although in my head, I found myself reading it in a faux Chinese accent. That's never happened before.
  18. A lot in that. You will be lucky to be competitive in League One without a significant budget. It could be that Wally makes funds available, in which case they might make fair stab at it and maybe surprise a few, but with championship squads getting relegated and some clubs in League One being far too big for the level they're in (Bolton and Sheffield United) this will be a fair challenge for them. If Wally doesn't have the funds to support them, wouldn't be surprised if he cashed in early. He could do quite nicely out of it.
  19. Hang on. But they are the 6 richest club in England. It must be true. They wouldn't have carried him down Gloucester Road otherwise. His Sedan Chair was being MOT'd at the time. Must be true. Surely. #gaslogic
  20. I love the 'there' typo most, you recreating it give the whole piece proper authenticity.
  21. Belters or Zoomers? Like Belt, call me a food voucher obsessive for Zoom! Both equally apt for that shower.
  22. Will he then start to study maths?
  23. Wasn't it 3rd party ownership that resulted in the whole Tevez/West Ham/Sheffield United thing? Got to be honest, I'm not entirely sure how it works, other than it isn't allowed.
