  1. Watford [H] … the verdict - play like this every week and we’ll be fine (podbean.com) In the final game before the World Cup break DaveP talks with Mark, Ian & Neil about a match City could have won against a Watford side who, like Sheffield United failed to show by their performance the impact parachute money has in on the field superiority. If you gloss over the fact we've only won two of the past 12 league games and have only one win in the last 7 home games then a point against a side that was in the Premier League last campaign is a good result. City had a couple of chances which fell to Tommy Conway but missed the target whilst only a super save denied Andi Weimann placed header. We talk about memories of Nathan Baker who bade an emotional farewell yesterday and similar regarding the 97/98 promotion team as many were paraded at half time as part of a 25th Anniversary celebration. We also discuss what areas the coaching team should be focusing on with a four week break which starts today. Btw, the opening music is the BBC's World Cup 1978 theme piece. If you are over 55 and couldn't place it hold your head in shame!!!
  2. A Scott Partridge in a pear tree would be losing the younger viewers Rob.
  3. It's an accumulator.
  4. This could fly. Ivan Toney's bet232.
  5. Hang on Phants, at least both the Rotherham fans can be miserable in comfort!
  6. Damn right! Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn - that's only 4.
  7. No, but his heat map should be interesting!
  8. So, Tan's People aren't Top of the Pops?
  9. Saudi Arabian sportswashing needs you? Where do I sign?
  10. I've heard it called many things, but that's a bit harsh.
  11. VAR would ask the referee to review both incidents on a pitch side monitor, resulting in two penalties. But we don't have VAR in the Championship, just tough shit from fallible crap officials.
  12. You 'ain't seen nothing yet.
  13. What won't happen because Pearson is staying. But let's have some fun with wordplay. Lansdown: We've conducted an extensive search, but of our top targets: Chris, was even Wilder (than anticipated). Sean, said on your Dyche. And Ralf Hasn'tootled.
  14. Fantastic. This guy lives and breathes Bristol City and we’re blessed to have him. Plus his oohs and aaahs on Robins TV are legendary. Thanks for your brilliant work Sir Brian.
  15. All those posters calling for Pearson's removal, I ask you simply. What. Is. The. Point? As painful as it is, losing ineptly to a mid-table League 1 club, Pearson's position won't be under threat unless we're cast adrift in the relegation zone of the bread and butter, Championship. Better times lie ahead with our burgeoning Academy, but it will demand patience. We'll be safe come the end of this season and with more big earners cleared out, combined with savvy recruitment the club can build a tight knit squad to challenge in 2023/24.
  16. It'll be similar to when man discovered how to make fire.
  17. Poor old Andi! I wonder how many times Nakhi's reminded him about that?
  18. @Davefevs, are any of the youngsters in that 11 capable of debuting for the first team this season?
  19. One of our first 11 will have fond memories of a fairytale League Cup run, culminating in a Final appearance, back in 2013.
