Swansea City at home match thread
Curr Avon replied to Jerseybean's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
We had a great plan, sit in, nick the ball high up the pitch and create chances. Only a stunning goal spoiled what was a hard-working performance, with Wells and Vyner my stand outs. We'll probably find out later how badly flu affected the squad and 1-1 is a decent result. -
Fantastic, lung bursting run at the end from Pring. Shame Williams ruined it by taking the ball outside on his right foot when played in to cross.

Which songs reflect your Bristol City mood? Let this be a thread that doesn't take itself too seriously, but provides a plethora of tracks with videos, good and bad, cut and pasted from YouTube. I'll kick off with this one...

Whether we like Pearson or not, he's here to stay unless we're adrift in the relegation zone - which is highly unlikely. I liken this period to Dicks' time in charge. Bugger all money to spend, but the eventual creation of a sound recruitment policy and a flourishing youth set up reaped promotion to Division One. We'll just have to be patient. -
Match Report: Sublime to Ridiculous as City Anonymous Again

The short version. We. Were. Crap. -
True. I want Pearson to succeed, but I'm flabbergasted why he can inspire the team to play attractive attacking football against the likes of Blackburn and Norwich, then revert to a clueless mess against Reading, Birmingham and Millwall.

Do I know you know who?

To sort out the mentality of the players, because he's not getting sacked, so there!
-
Exactly, they should take time off!

The annoying thing is that our players are better than the timid pile of poo served up today. We've seen it at Blackburn and Norwich. Why have we changed to lead boots since then? -

I couldn't understand why we took off Semenyo and Wells. The problem was the service to them was non-existent. A player like Semenyo will always give you a chance if you play to his feet. Sadly, when those two went off it was back to the charge of the shite brigade. Balaclava anyone?
