  4. .....Derby! Is he the first Captain to swim towards a sinking ship? Apologies, I didn't realise this was old news, feel free to delete it.
  5. Forest transformed their fortunes from 20th with 8 points after 10 games, to 4th with 80 at the season's end, taking 72 points from 36 games.
  6. Goals scored + 8 Goals conceded + 5 Points + 1
  7. Didn't he have a degree in economics, maths, physics and bionics?
  8. Another belter from the Guardian's David Squires... David Squires on … Premier League tributes, queues and military hardware | Football | The Guardian Our cartoonist on the English top flight’s attempts to get the tone right at a time of national mourning Here's a taster (what we've all been thinking about the goings on at Forest)
  9. But he's just bought 200 Highland Glen jumpers for the Scottish winter.
  10. Breathless and brilliant as usual, Rob. Sorry to be pedantic though. It was Atkinson that blocked Brownhills volley in the first half and Conway who was put in by Wells from Weimanns pass on 45 + 1 minutes.
  11. Thanks for the update Dave, I didn't realise the League yellows were separate. For anyone interested, the full EFL suspension criteria for season 2022/23 is detailed in the following doc. https://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/discipline/player-essentials
  12. It's a great shame, two consecutive 5th placed finishes, plus an FA Cup, but football is an unforgiving business.
  13. Nige on now. Some quotes. We conceded goals which, we didn't make them work hard enough for. We showed that we can compete, but its disappointing not to get points from either game. We generally did pretty well and we created plenty of opportunities. Our approach to the second half was to try to find a way to get a winner. The players have showed a lot of endeavour today and have worked exceptionally hard again We didn't find a way to get that equaliser. We've given both teams this week a very.., they've been difficult games for our opponents. Unfortunately we've come away with nothing, but have acquitted ourselves well. We've done pretty well, we should be sitting on 17 points, 18 points, but we're not, the challenge is to get ourselves up and running in 2 weeks time.
  14. Unfortunately, the diplomatic take on Massengo would be to say that he didn't adjust to the pace of the game.
  15. For perspective, here is Burnley's Summer transfer activity. £67million incoming, plus losing major frees in the experienced Tarkovski and Mee. £22million out, with a number of unknown loan fees on top.
