The verdict - City deserving of more from entertaining game https://foreverbristolcity.podbean.com/e/swansea-h-the-verdict-city-deserving-of-more-from-entertaining-game/ Ian, Mark & DaveFevs join DaveP in reviewing a decent display against a team in form who, quite honestly, flattered to deceive despite having 72% possession. Injury & illness meant City started with a back three of Tanner, Vyner & Pring. Whilst it might have been different against more physical opposition as a trio they did very well with Pring voted as MOM. When Tommy Conway put City in front with a well worked goal it was just reward for a sparkling opening, indeed, if early chances been converted the game would have been won before the half hour mark. Perhaps it wasn't the worldy described by DaveP but the power drive that took a deflection for an equaliser was no more than Swansea deserved as City were somewhat lack lustre for the last 20 minutes. In this episode we talk briefly about club finances, ponder whether we'd like to watch a possession based style as displayed by Russell Martin's side and assess our chances in the final three league games before the World Cup break starting against Sheffield United on Tuesday.

His Majesty's Rugby Club have got a lot to answer for!

I've asked loads of people: why have Bristol City only spent two periods in the topflight of English football in their 128-year history ? Sadly, No One Knows.
-
Huh. Think that's petty? I hate the Tommy Conway song, ode to "Don't you want me?" I mean, has Tommy ever worked as a waitress in a cocktail bar?

Get yer own Shreddies.

Wasn't Oliver Cromwell in goal? One for the Puritans.

It was me! And Williams blew it, following Cam's pass. Thought Cam was great today, solid, unruffled and terrific in the tackle. Not forgetting his beautiful rugby tackle near the end.

No, Charles is andy - on environmental issues, but not much COP27 (coz this week's PM, or was it last weeks, won't let him go)

Andy will be pleased! Lovely fella.

Swansea City at home match thread
Curr Avon replied to Jerseybean's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
We had a great plan, sit in, nick the ball high up the pitch and create chances. Only a stunning goal spoiled what was a hard-working performance, with Wells and Vyner my stand outs. We'll probably find out later how badly flu affected the squad and 1-1 is a decent result. -
Fantastic, lung bursting run at the end from Pring. Shame Williams ruined it by taking the ball outside on his right foot when played in to cross.

Which songs reflect your Bristol City mood? Let this be a thread that doesn't take itself too seriously, but provides a plethora of tracks with videos, good and bad, cut and pasted from YouTube. I'll kick off with this one...

Oooh he is awful, but I like him.
