  1. More Sag comedy.....:

Not quite what you expect I'm afraid. A moan about those ruddy pidgeons that sit above us in the West Stand near the players entrance. Quite a number of us have had to suffer being targets for these birds which might be considered funny. However when you are splattered might a case of health be considered. Clearly some form of netting to prevent them perching would help. I have contacted the club a week ago. They responded they would get back to me but heard nothing since.
Trivial attachment I know and now waiting for the comedians to respond.

Seriously reckon that was Dopey's last game.

    Shame really

Can’t see it myself, he’s the best thing since slice bread to most of them so won’t have the majority of the fan base on his back, and let’s be honest they’ve got no money to pay him off if they did sack him. Would be hilarious if they did mind, can you imagine Wally and co trying to find a replacement.

For me, the funniest thing was that the day they departed the football league, it was really unexpected.  The sags had to lose and everyone around them had to win.  Relegation seemed really unlikely until I started looking at the 'as it stands' tables mid second half.  The seemingly impossible was becoming more and more likely and then Sir Colin popped up and scored the famous goal.  I too remembering not being able to stop listening to Twentyman that afternoon. The day OTIB became reality ?

Was very unlikely indeed but I had a strong inkling that day that the almost impossible was going to happen, so putting my money where my mouth was (albeit not much) put £5 on all the teams around them to win plus a Mansfield win, then another £5 on the fewers to go down, returned just over £400, Happy Days!

Haha, I'd forgotten a few of those.  Just need a title for this bestseller then, followedby the blockbuster movie.

"The Sag's are Coming for us"

As someone mentioned previously, knock up some video clip of all these ‘moments’ and someone could make a bloody fortune as it would put Sky’s - Footballs Funniest Moments to shame if it were to be aired, plus it would show the whole Nation and beyond what a unique club they are, and no saggies not the unique you think you are.

  5. Relegated to division 5 as the fewers like to call it and being conned into thinking they’ve been taken over by a billionaire (with plenty of sags out there who actually still believe he is btw) are the 2 stand out ones for me.

    So many too name:

    The Cheesy chips.

Clarke bawling his eyes out at FT

Dags being chased off the pitch by horses

Taylor won’t be sold for less than £10m

    Wallys tweets towards following Taylorgate

    Unreal amount more ?

We should have a vote on the funniest thing Rovers have done over the last 5 years.

5??? Could probably extend that vote to 50 with the amount of things those turds have given us to take the piss with. Never known a club like it from the boardroom to the morons who follow them. Comical.

My answer was a touch tongue in cheek.

I started going to Eastville in the 73/74 season and about 5 years after that Rovers were full of plans to move to Stoke Gifford. then Mangotsfield, then Avonmouth  and a whole host of other sites I can't even remember. I have seen more Evening Post front pages with an artist's impression of what Rovers new stadium 'could look like' than I care to remember so you will forgive me that whenever there is talk of a new stadium/investment, I don't get too carried away . I do confess that I did fall for it when Nick Higgs appeared in his hard hat and high viz on site claiming everything was 'watertight', which was when you consider it wasn't too long before that the same bunch were actually going to let us go to Cheltenham (and pay for the privilege) to choose our new seats was pretty dumb of me.

I quite like The Mem, people can take the piss all they want, but I think it is in a great location and the Blackthorn End is a great bit of terracing so I am way past caring if we get a new ground or not. All I care about is meeting up with mates for a few beers, the chance of a bit of excitement ( and Rovers under DC have played some entertaining stuff) and the odd good away day.

    Not very often then?

I agree ,I just can’t understand why they never bit there hands off at the time.i will feel a lot happier when something else gets built there(not more flats or houses).i

Only reason I can see why Wally pulled out of the UWE deal is that they will never own the land it’s planning to be built on, also UWE were due to receive part of the non match day revenue? All could be renegotiated again of course. If this Ed Ware was that much of a messiah as some are making out why didn’t he take over before Wally?

yes so the council removed it c nuts.

I swear they just do things to increase congestion all over the city? Probably to try and get more of us cycling or using the piss poor public transport. Next time your driving just look at the ludicrous amount of traffic lights we have, especially on roundabouts which are not even needed.

So we built the Dolman Stand, the Atyeo Stand, the South Stand (which still needs a proper name btw) and now the Lansdown Stand, all of which are great and amazing structures and they are so Prowd of a ****ing bus shelter.  Just wait until the new development is built and see what they have to say about that.

Going by what quite a few of them have said, they love being ragass rovers, and would much rather be at tents r us than a soulless bowl like AG

Please don't let them go into admin. What would happen to this thread? This is comedy golddust!
If this was pitched as a sitcom, it would be rejected for being too far fetched!

Ok, so we've lost a couple of games and I'm recuperating after a gruelling few days in hospital but catching up on this is the perfect medicine.

They pitch this monstrosity of a stand, say it’s a ‘massif’ improvement, yet we are VERY worried about them as they have the dog botherer at the helm  yes we are absolutely shitting it ?

If they did ever go into admin and hopefully disappear nothing would change regarding this thread as presuming with such a great and unique fan base (which only them believe this btw) they’d form a Phoenix club that’ll no doubt be coming for us, whilst dodging the dog shit in a home fixture v Lebeq at Eastville Park.

    Get well soon btw ??

Pretty sure the conference final has a fairly large neutral area as well.

Was probably a good few thousand fans of conference football who just wanted a day out.

That is true, but according to ‘gas logic’ every single person that attended in this neutral area were gasheads. Obviously.
