A lot of gasheads I work with are laughing at the fact they got a fee for Harrison, said he wasn’t prolific at all, I don’t think he’s anywhere near there best player

They were saying he was their best player before he signed for Ipswich though. Strange that

I would imagine that if Dopey doesn't get financial backing following that player sale, he'll be on the lookout for a new club, giving it the whole 'I've taken them as far as I can' argument.

No ‘big’ club will touch Clarke, saying that most clubs are classed as big to that lot, as said previously he’s too comfortable there, when he does eventually leave it’ll be to someone like Barnsley.

  3. Some belting suggestions from the fewers for Harrison’s replacement...... wait for it.....

1- David McGoldrick (on verge of signing for Sheff Utd I believe)

2 - Yann Kermogant (getting on abit but still championship quality)

    3 - Darren Bent :rofl2br:

Yet we are the ones who think we are something we are not, and target unrealistic signings re Gayle/Gray, these are what your manager classes as Waitrose signings (compeletely out of their reach) just the wages only will eat their entire transfer budget probably for the next 3 seasons.

Speculation on Fartchat started at £750k and now at £1.6m.

So it’s £300k but we are paying 96x what they are paying him.

Better than joining us would be stepping up to join Salford or Billericay.

Gaslogic means it’ll be up to between £2-3m by the time it’s announced, and they’ll know exactly what his new salary will be, prob around the £15k mark, same as MT.

  5. Wow, as usual it's shite, yet no doubt the fewers will be crowing about how 'unique' their shirt is, to everyone outside of their little fantasy bubble the only thing unique about their shirts is that it's guaranteed to be shit every season.

  6. Some of the tweets from the fewers today have been great. All because they have shirt sponsor now, and are getting a BIG screen (probably upgrading to a 40” TV from the 32” that they already own/stole) they are now looking like a ‘real’ club!

    Simple things and all that.

Another bit of gold from their forum...
The Tractor club were willing to pay £2m for Mattee Tee. Before BCFC82 offered him double the wages

They don't get it do they, why would ipswich pay £2 million on a player who has a £300k release clause...

IIRC the owners didn't even know how the release clause worked, not realising that once we had made the bid MT was free to hold talks with us regardless.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I despair at some of the rubbish quoted on this forum regarding the Mem.
Sorry for the detail but it might enlighten a few.

In the Premier Division every club has 100% all seated stadiums. The vast majority have over 30000 capacity, the glaring odd one out being Bournemouth with 11360. The clubs that normally get relegated and then promoted back up a few seasons later almost every time are those with capacity of between 20000 and 30000.
In the Championship every club except one, being Brentford, has all seated stadiums. It is mandatory for the top two tiers of the league to be all seater. All seater stadiums are not a panacea for watching football or success on the field. Ask Sunderland fans! The fans sometimes are subjected to getting wet because the roof doesn't cover the seating and post holding the roof obstructs the view and some fans are squashed into corners with little view of the pitch.
    Villa 42785   Birmingham 29409   Blackburn 31367   Bolton 28723   Brentford 12763   Bristol City 27000   Derby 335897   Hull 25586
    Ipswich 30311   Leeds 37890   Middleboro 34742   Millwall 20146   Norwich 27244   Notts Forest 30445   Preston 23404 QPR 18439
    Reading 24161   Rotherham 12061   Sheff Utd 32702   Sheff Weds 39732   Stoke 30089   Swansea 21088   West Brom 26850  Wigan 25138
From the above capacities you can clearly see which clubs that usually stay comfortably in the Championship and flit with promotion to the top tier and those that drop back down to level 3. It's interesting that our neighbours over the river even with a new stadium only have a capacity 11th from the bottom of the championship but not likely high enough to be sustainable in the top tier if they got there.
In Division 1 there are 16 clubs that have 100% all seater stadiums and 8 do not ranging from 40% to 75% seating, the Mem being one with 50%.
    AFC Wimbledon 4850
    Accrington 5057   Barnsley 23287   Blackpool 16750   Bradford 25136   Bristol Rovers 12300   Burton 6912
    Charlton 27111   Coventry 32609   Doncaster R 15231   Fleetwood 5327   Gills 11582   Luton 10356   Oxford 12500   Peterboro 15314
    Plymouth 16388   Portsmouth 21100   Rochdale 10000   Scunny 9088   Shrews 9875   Southend 12392  Sunderland 49000 Walsall 11300   Wycombe 10137
From the above capacities you can clearly see which clubs that usually stay comfortably in Division 1 and flit with promotion to the Championship and those that drop back down to level 4. Clearly this shows that the Gas are where traditionally we have usually played our football. Rovers sit 13th from the bottom capacity wise.
In Division 2 13 clubs have all seater stadiums, the rest range from 35% to 50%.
    Bury 11840   Cambridge 8127   Carlisle 17949   Cheltenham 7066   Colchester 10105   Crawley 6134   Crewe 10153   Exeter 6087   Forest GR 4803
    Grimsby 9052   Lincoln 10120   Macclesfield 9186   Mansfield 9186 MK Dons 30500   Northhampton 7798  Morecombe 6476
    Newport 7850  Notts County 19841   Oldham 13512   Port Vale 19052   Stevenage 6722   Swindon 11547  Tranmere 16587   Yeovil 9562
From the above capacities you can clearly see which clubs that usually stay comfortably in Division 2 and flit with promotion to Division 1 and those that drop back down to level 5. Only 6 teams have a capacity greater than the gas.

The point I'm trying to make is that Rovers are roughly in the middle of the football league where their capacity says it should sustainably be located.
Having been to well over 120 stadiums watching Rovers over the years I can say first hand that the quality of the Men is roughly in the middle of all those grounds. The two worst that I recall were York and Atringham both of which made Twerton Park look regal. Those that state the Mem is one of the worst stadiums in the football league are IMO either frustrated, deluded or are glory hunters and have only attended those big capacity away big grounds

Topper saying they'd avg 15k with a bigger ground and that they have out grown the mem,
Rovers can't even  sell out the mem

All that waffle and he still won’t admit the Mem is a shithole.

    a) only if it was witnessed by a third party or a police officer which led to a direct arrest or with hard digital evidence which could substantiate the arrest and subsequent caution given pre interview and the charge post interview.

The police also do not press the charge, the crime prosecution service do. The police merely report the facts and present the evidence.

In this instance it would be down to the force districts inspector or lead Sargent to decide whether there is something to be officially investigated, but that can only be done if an official complaint is made as it would be considered a historic allegation and that would need a statement from the complainant.

I take it idiot is a term of acknowledgement around here, so it would be rude not to join in. Idiot.

Atleast your welcome on here, unlike your sad excuse of a forum who ban anyone for being a 'ted'

    Well I am honoured!!

first time I have ever been called tame.

to confirm yet again no complaint, evidence or cctv has ever been reported for an incident of this nature

as per my previous posts still happy to meet with any person who wishes to report this as a crime having witnessed it or spoken to the injured party. To date no one has contacted me .

@JulieH if you have the time can you please do us all (and the club) a favour and register on that festering forum and put it to Henbury Gas to put up or shut up seeing has no complaint has ever been made, it’s damaging the club and some aren’t happy with how it’s continuing to happen.

There's also the small matter of finding £50M to build it, not that there's an ounce of truth in it.

What with their billionaire owners? No problem at all for them isit.

Completely different subject, before they sold their striker today, ‘one of them’ stated that said striker was a better player than our very own snake MT :rofl2br:obviously deluded as ever but fair play to the bloke he clearly has ambition leaving them for a bigger club who are looking to go places.

Probably the only thing which really let's down our redevelopment of Ashton gate!

Yes it has it’s downfalls but comparing it to a portakabin that they probably stole from a building site? Come on!
