Huddersfield and Birmingham still have to play each other.

Basically to be mathematically safe tomorrow we need to win. A draw would be pretty much guaranteed safety as long as Weds lose at home to Norwich as Huddersfield and Birmingham would have to draw their game and win all their remaining games whilst turning around a huge goal difference.

In reality we’re already safe. Without Reading’s points deduction last season QPR would’ve gone down on 49 points and I can’t see that total being needed this season.

If we win tomorrow, it will be nothing short of a miracle. 😉

Haha, or even less than that!

Come on then Chivs, back up your response? Wink or no wink!

Have you ever taken the very first game of a manager into consideration when making your view on them?

    From yesterday;

The left-back was at the High Performance Centre on Sunday to be looked over by interim head of medical Andrew Proctor and while there doesn’t seem to be any undue concern over the potential seriousness of the problem, it does make him a doubt for tomorrow night.

“Little knock on the back of his knee, it doesn’t seem to be anything major,” Manning added. “He was in yesterday and saw Procs, who wasn’t overly concerned, but we’ll follow up again today.”

Wish I'd seen this yesterday. Chatting to the guy that sits behind us who overheard a conversation ( how's that for tenuous & conspiratorial ). Someone saying Prings injury was season ending.
Not sure how these rumours start TBH.

People put them on a forum? 🤷‍♂️

I think he is the next Diedhiou.

Not necessarily as a player, but more because none of our fanbase will be able to spell or pronounce his name.

If he doesn't call himself "me babber" by the time he leaves us, he's no Maynard.

  5. If the name "Frank Rothwell" doesn't conjure up the sight of an old man, in a flat cap, smoking 60 a day, whilst leaning against a doorway, in a row of terraced houses, somewhere grim up North, and watching the little scamps in the street kick about a football that's never seen grass, then I don't know what does.

Good luck to the man. A very worthy cause.

What are the differing ideas? I could understand what Mr Johnson was attempting. Liam Manning has been using a variant that I don't understand.

Could you explain why from the keeper, from dead balls and from open play City play a ball to a isolated wide receivers head, dramatically reducing the possibility of retaining possession?

I think you are mistaken to believe the tactic is to retain the ball.

Max passes to Pring (soon also McCrorie) with the intention of Pring clobbering the opposition fullback.

    Working quite well so far....

Images like this (and I include our "Ernie" robin in this too, sorry) are just the funniest things to me. They never look intimidating or anything apart from hilarious. They look like something I'd be trying to make using clipart at about 13 years old.

    Just awful.

You say this but I reckon that Robin, centre, front row, looks well hard. 😬

He was on the pitch for just the final 10 minutes when City were mainly in defensive mode as WH tried to grab the winner but I guess in current otib mode that's long enough to start a thread on his performance.

Strange comment. You are saying he played more than 10% of the game but that isn't worthy of comment.  What is your allowed quota? 25%, 50% ...

I thought Wells was strangely subdued. It looked like he was nursing a hamstring injury such was his reluctance to even get into a run let alone a sprint.

PS The best defence against grabbing a winner starts up front.

    Went for legs imho.

Williams and TGH in CM was a good choice imho.

I do wonder if it’s a “changing of the guard” / sliding doors moment for Matty James?

I think that door has started to slide. James is getting less time now Manning is here. Likewise, for Weimann.

I was really worried when the subs were made as it took any pace out, and replaced it with ,well, not pace.

WHU started to come back into it after our subs although that might be a coincidence as they were always going to step up in the last 15 mins.
