Can one more person please like my post on page 3?  I have always wanted a green box around one of my posts. Cheers.

I liked it out of respect for your request. Didn't read it if that helps put a green box into context... ?

Yep, and I suspect if Steve didn’t live in Guernsey and had our Club develop a relationship with local sides, he more than likely would have gone under our radar.

Don’t think we had that many scouts in the Channel Islands. Indeed, I don’t think we have many/any on the mainland!

I've always thought of Steve as a 2-bit capitalist grubbing for a few pounds extra in saved taxes by residing on a remote, far away, piece of land the size of Weston.

Turns out he was scouting for us!  Nice work. Steve!

  3. It was Cardiff. So I think we can all agree that the Cardiff player ducked his head into the boot of the on-coming player thus causing harm to a player's safety (admittedly his own).

    Clear red for Cardiff player.

  4. +I waved my phone at the turnstile and got in immediately. I thought there would be an 0.5hr queue in the driving rain

    + Good debut by Dickie

    - It was the coldest since the Millwall game in the great winter of 1946.  OK, I might exaggerate a bit but for August!?

    - Pearson is still with us

    - All those dinky balls over their fullbacks that achieve nothing with our players

    - Pearson

    - Yet another slow, unexceptional midfielder onboard

    - Pearson is still with us

I renewed my membership a couple of days ago and received the confirmation email.  I then got a 6 year old to find Google Wallet on my phone.  Then went into my Bristol Sport account and can see this season’s membership on my page, with a tick box next to it. However, when I tick that box it’s not giving an option to add to Wallet.  Neither the 6 year old nor an 11 year old can advise me on what I should do next.  Email the club, maybe.  All suggestions welcomed, ta.

I think you need to upgrade to a12 year old.

My theory on that is that vile and toxic comments written in 240 characters are easy to ignore and dismiss.

Thorough thought out criticism, suggestion, and discussion - which does actually happen on OTIB more often than we give ourselves credit for - is harder to ignore and rubbish.

Engaging properly on here would mean producing full answers and explanations rather than memes, 20 second videos, and "banter".

    Bollocks ?

You'll never get odds of 5,000/1 again like Leicester were - the bookies got stung so badly by that, just by Leicester fans who back it as a laugh or do it as a yearly tradition etc.

I know someone who sticks £500 on City to win the league every year, I said to him before last season give me the £500 and I'll take the bet on, I'd be happy to do the same next season too :D

Why didn't you offer him a bet at £400?  He saves £100 and you gain £400. Everyone's a winner. ?

Yeah...it was probably a ridiculous thing to post on my part. ? Quite like Noel though. Follows his team like Robert Plant.

Why is he following Robert Plant?  Sounds a bit creepy. Perhaps he's got anger issues?

FA Cup fifth round draw in full

Here is a recap of all the FA Cup fifth round fixtures, to be played between February 27 and March 2.

    • Southampton vs Luton Town or Grimsby Town
    • Leicester City vs Blackburn Rovers or Birmingham City
    • Stoke City vs Brighton & Hove Albion
    • Wrexham or Sheffield United vs Tottenham Hotspur
    • Fulham or Sunderland vs Leeds United
    • Bristol City vs Manchester City
    • Manchester United vs Derby County or West Ham United
    • Ipswich Town or Burnley vs Sheffield Wednesday or Fleetwood Town

I loved when Chappers said "some great draws there" as he desperately scanned down the list for the all premiership draw... then preceded to read them all out as there is only one great draw.

More than a little unfair, I’d suggest, to characterise LJs four years as one where we hade “one particularly good period of 3 months”.

The cup run was in 17/18. We finished 8th in 18/19. We were top six most of the first half of 19/20.

What you have to appreciate is that LJ kept throwing double-six, time after time. But he was always lucky with the roll of the dice....

Care to revise your opinion of Sam Bell

Any change of opinion after last night's game?

Edit: Just noticed the same question has already been asked.

I didn't watch the whole game live but have seen the short highlights.  Bell's goal is top class. I especially like that he didn't panic even though he had plenty of time in the penalty box to start panicking!

He also set up Skyes with a quality through ball.

Having said that, I'll not change my opinion on the basis of two football highlights.  Bell comes across as a boy in a man's game. Do you disagree?

Did you watch the whole game? Did he fall over a lot?

It would be great if a safe version of them could be developed and allowed to be used because they do look good.

I also like the smell of pyro. I know they can be hazardous to some people though.

Or as we say when playing Birmingham, "I like the smell of pyro at 4.45pm. It smells like victory"
