We’d probably be a League 1/Championship yo yo club like Rotherham. The only question really is given what Steve has ploughed in SHOULD we be more than a fairly solid (hasn’t felt that way recently though!!) Championship club or should we have had at least one go in the Premiership by now?

It’s not about crowing. The fact is our Sugar Daddy plays by the rules hence the position Nige finds himself in……..he is trying to build a team with limited funds, Reading, Derby and others have Sugar Daddies who said **** the rules and are now paying the price.

These things look great when you win a game or two. If they stay down the bottom of that league there will be more than a few looking at that “performance” today thinking “who does this bellend think he is?”.

It’s not just your first paragraph either. Championship pro wide players are going to get crosses in. You can’t stop every single one even if you are set up correctly.

How long did it take Warburton to get QPR to where they are today (notwithstanding the fact we mugged them)? That's what supporters need to be mindful of, it wasn't a five minute job. He's a good Manager, knows what he's doing, but it took him TIME.

It is frustrating, I agree with you, but clearly, just judging by 3 wins out of 4 away and 0 wins out of 4 at home (only 1 defeat though) we are clearly a team that is set up to play counter attacking football. It's going to take time to change that style for home games. Not saying we shouldn't win a home game ever again, mind, but consistent home wins and even performances tbh are not just around the corner imo.

They are the best side we've played this season. Absolutely fantastic win. Yes, we are on the same points as QPR but they will be challenging top 6 this season and we won't. That is our best result this season by a mile. We shithoused it but with the squad we have that is all we can ask for - players who compete and give their all. Sometimes we will get beaten by the better quality, today we rode the storm, Bentley more than made up for his mistake on Tuesday, and a bit of quality at the death gets us three points. Let's see if one or two "regulars" when the results and performances are below par turn up this evening.

Spot on. Their Chairman bit the bullet, hired an experienced manager to steady the ship and slowly build something and they are now reaping the rewards. Some of their fans were just as impatient as some of ours but they just look daft right now because QPR are now a good side at this level.

Agreed and that will take time, coaching and recruitment. As long as we are competitive and picking up points here and there the rest will follow, it just isn't going to happen overnight.

Competitive is as good as we can be at the moment. We weren't even at that level last season.

You had the same types of fans as the vocal minority of ours at QPR wanting Warburton out 18 months ago..............he's building a bloody good side there.

It doesn't. It's going to take time and I think the majority of supporters do realise that. There are always a few who expect immediate improvement bit it won't happen. As far as I'm concerned if we can come out of this with a point we've done well today because QPR are a better side than us right now, that simple.
