Did you say that when we signed Matty Taylor, and Johnson said "It'll be a big setup in standard for him"? That was a classic wind up.

That was a great day btw

A throw away comment like that is one thing and that's fine for me. I thought the Bus Stop ads in Horfield were probably right on the edge of acceptable although I'm not sure I would have bothered myself. Leaflets posted through people's doors with banter you have to think has been sanctioned by the club included...........would be better if the club stayed out of that type of thing I reckon.

Would this not solely be down to Mansion Bet?

Obviously they are using us to promote their business, but I'm not sure our club would have had much if any involvement in another businesses ad campaign

I do wonder if Mansion Bet are doing similar campaigns in areas around where they sponsor other sides?

I would expect the club to have a say in the Mansion Bet advertising campaign as the vast majority of the material being used is club owned copyright and image rights for a start.

On the basis of what evidence?

Opinion based upon previous childish Twitter activity which could, of course, be wrong. Which is why I used the word APPEAR...........I'm sure you have enough about you to understand that. Whoever sanctioned it, whether Junior or someone else, was silly and certainly not fit to run a football club professionally just now in my view. It's about as childish as you can get from a professional football club. Leave rivalry and wind-ups to the fans.......who do it far better anyway.

I agree with you , I think our club should be looking into better communication with their own fanbase rather than ‘winding up’ the blue few. We comment on them being ‘tinpot’ but these leaflets are. It doesn’t paint us in a good light in my opinion. Use the marketing as a way to increase fan base. I have no objection to the bus stop adverts but an advert which has been signed off by our club is childish

The highlighted bit sums it up for me. If I'm honest this would appear to be something sanctioned by Junior, I could be wrong, but whoever it was that sanctioned it at Board Room level clearly isn't up to the job of running a professional football club at this moment in time............although that's not exactly breaking news tbf. We saw what our "Senior Leadership Team" had in their locker a few months back!!

    Such a vile person

Terms like "vile person" are often over used on internet forums and social media. E.g. when describing the Manager we all love, Colin. However in this instance how can anyone possibly argue with what you have said.............obviously the guy has to be proven guilty in this instance but we know for a fact he was guilty of jumping into bed with his Brother's missus.

I live in Little Stoke (so North Bristol), lots of City here mate and loads on bus stops all the way in on match days.

I would humbly suggest, North Bristol is now RED!

You will know that better than me. I still think Mansion Bet are tinpot with this "campaign" endorsed by the likes of Ashton and Junior which makes them just as tinpot!!

  7. This may not be the popular view but Mansion Bet seem to me to be the most tinpot sponsor we've ever had. I love winding up the Fewers I know as much as the next person but personally I don't see the point in dropping leaflets through letter boxes in North Bristol that can easily be taken as inflammatory by the less emotionally stable Gappers and are, in reality, just childish gloating by Mansion Bet on our behalf which lacks class and isn't needed when the facts speak for themselves anyway. Add in the ridiculous radio adverts with the detestable "fake" Bristolian accents.......just employ a Bristolian to read the script you total bellends. I would 100% bin any association with them as soon as possible...........but presumably all of their actions are clearly endorsed by the clowns we have running our shitshow.

Won't get many agreeing with me but that's my take on it.

Better applicants were brushed aside and the next few months will show the bad decision.

My view is we are firmly heading for mid-table but we will see some decent football along the way. The squad just isn't strong enough, particularly with the recent injuries, and the Manager is inexperienced. That is not a recipe for Promotion. That is why I cannot be too hard on Dean Holden. Of course, I want to see him make progress and learn from mistakes he will inevitably make but I cannot expect much more from him personally. If "responsibility" and "blame" is the order of the day to justify that outcome then you need to look a rung or two higher in the Bristol City food chain!!

Lets hope the four weeks get us a new head coach

What sort of Cloud Cuckoo Land are you living in to even contemplate the fact that Steve Lansdown will back down on his choice of head coach at this stage?

Furthermore, would you back him, Ashton and Junior to come up with anything better than Dean Holden? I wouldn't put a penny farthing on it.........

"Guys, what's the problem? I know Nigel Pearson was really interested in coming here but his interview was abysmal, he wanted proper money to spend on players plus he wanted to offload players who I am really fond of. Look, Darrell has a track record of getting teams promoted, knows the area very well, has promised that he will try his bestest every single day and will fight his like a dog to get this club in the Premier League. He's also a decent human being although when he's had a few his standards do slip slightly but we can live with that.".....

Many Rovers fans I know are having complete melt downs on social media about the 20 years

It must be soul destroying being a "Grandparent" in North Bristol and not being able to recount stories to the Grandkids about when the boys in blue were above "they gurt teds" in the league.........

Not just the defending but also the missed chances.

You would expect most of those to be put away in the Championship.

I know every side makes the odd howler now any again, but that looked pretty bad.

The worst one for me was not the Comedy Club mistakes that anyone can make but the "effort" if you can call it that by their LB/LWB to get across and cut out the cross on the first goal. Looked like he was running with a Volkswagen Beetle on his back. If that was O'Dowda he would be in front of a firing squad by now. That's not a mistake - just complete lack of desire.......something I didn't think applied to the Faithful and True? How that is the fault of the Ref is something that only Ben Garner can answer using #Gaslogic (apologies if I missed the ref two footing the guy out of clip just beforehand).

  12. 1 hour ago, GrahamC said:

Garner has blamed the ref again, no penalty & the opposition keeping 11 on the pitch usually equals a defeat, so he looks for excuses.

    What a tosser he is.

Every time the oppo go down to ten and/or concede a penalty they get a result. Every time they play a DECENT side who avoid either of those they don’t just get beat, they get beat comfortably and then Garner comes out and blames the ref. It’s all a bit repetitive over there......

Away to Dopey’s Walsall in 1st round of F.A.Cup

    C’mon Saddlers

Interesting that having escaped the clutches of the Tent Enders Dopey has been waxing lyrical about our youth set up and the players we send them. Seems that he sees it as a definite “link” between the clubs.

Sad loads of money no class, apparently stood on the Tote closet Gas

So that would mean Joe Joyce was minus 8 when he stood on the tote?

#Gaslogic dictates that now it's been said it must be absolute fact that Joe Joyce really did stand on the Tote End as a kid...........the fact you claim he was -8 at the time by using spurious facts such as his actual age and the date that Eastville was demolished simply proves that you're just a bitter Ted.
