It’s written into the BCFC Employee Handbook as the only thing you need to say to any Gashead when being given stick by them. Tbh the sad Gapper was lucky that Tinnion didn’t **** him.......what sort of bellend do you have to be to open your gob like that in a restaurant when it is pretty likely that someone is spending time with their family?

Thanks NU, I thought I was going mad. Wally said the pipedream stadium was 20,000 capacity didn't he? Where did the extra 5,000 come from?

No doubt, by tomorrow it will be 30,000 even though it won't be built as they would have to actually pay for it and couldn't afford a £20K transfer fee. Maybe they should ask Tomas Kalas to lend them a week's wages eh?

It’s literally “what they do”. As a fan base they are full of exaggeration and BS. 20K isn’t close enough to “the other lot” so let’s get it out there that it’s 25K and in time we’ll all believe it as fact ourselves!!

Here’s one - it suggests the gas are 69th on the list, sandwiched between Colchester United and Fleetwood with their huge outlay for Tillson .... it seems to have inflated their record fee to £375k though - I always thought it was £370k that they shelled out..

The missing 5K was in the Car Park...sure I read that somewhere.......

Interesting if we play Bath City, now part of the Bristol Sport franchise it seems.

Someone should ask the window butting, horse punching sag fool what a franchise is. That would keep him busy............

So funny. They seem to completely gloss over the fact that they WITHDREW FUNDING (i.e. cutting off support for women's football altogether, leaving it for various bodies to pick up the pieces). Only then did the Women's team go on to greatness.

Yeah but you forget that Gas Logic dictates that facts are irrelevant!!

    Libel action beckons.

Serious stuff calling Steve Lansdown a thief...

Probably not as it was a private e-mail but it just about sums up the “professionalism” at the Fewers when a club Secretary comes out with such garbage.

If anyone wants a laugh at that gas girls video, i asked why they used Ashton Gate. Its our fault, we stole the womens team.... Even on the links he provided it says rovers walked away. Bless

“Basically in 2005, we were Bristol Rovers Women’s FC but Rovers walked away and what followed was the takeover of the club by South Gloucestershire and Stroud College and with it becoming Bristol Academy WFC,” said Williams, who is also the club’s marketing officer.

My name is Matthew Davies and I'm the Media Manager for Bristol Rovers Community Trust, and I'm also the Secretary for relaunched Bristol Rovers Women's Team.

Thank you so much for your kind words relating to the launch of the Women's Team. Women's football is a huge passion of mine and I'm absolutely delighted to get this squad up an running under the name of Bristol Rovers. The response from the supporters has been incredible and we can't wait to get the ball rolling throughout the summer.

In regards to your query about the content of the launch video, the narrative behind it does originate from the history of the former Bristol Rovers Ladies Team. Before 2005, Rovers Ladies were one of the very few women's teams playing in Bristol. The Gas Girls were initially formed in 1998, starting out in the South West League and in 2005, Bristol Rovers Ladies FC became known as Bristol Academy WFC under a new partnership agreement with South Gloucestershire and Stroud College. In 2011 the club changed its name to Bristol Academy WFC in 2011 and finally became Bristol City Women’s Football Club in 2015.

In essence, our former Ladies team was stolen by Bristol City, so we decided to manufacture a tongue in cheek dig by taking a football on a journey from Ashton Gate, through Bristol to finally end at The Memorial Stadium. Therefore emphasising that our Bristol Rovers Women's team are making a return to the women's game. The Ashton Gate reference is merely a subtle, cheeky joke to reference the origin of the journey.

I hope this has given you an insight into relation between the two clubs regarding the history of the women's teams. Feel free to read the articles below which details our history a little bit more.

Thank you once again for getting in touch and your support for the women's team is invaluable as we look to build and grow the programme as much as we possibly can.

    Kind regards

Anyone who claims Gas Logic doesn’t exist............

  8. 1975 since they averaged 10k over a season? Given they have been in the second tier a few times in that period whats their excuse, other than being a tinpot club with bigger delusions of grandeur than ANY of the other 91, for that?

I think Danny Coles was/is a Gashead, Gary Penrice was a City supporter, Keith Curle was a Gashead, Alfie Biggs was a City fan. Colin Daniel has been pictured in a Rovers away shirt but is definitely a City supporter!

I can’t believe a true City supporter like Daniel could stoop so low as to score in a Gas away shirt.............

  10. That has to rank as one of the biggest marketing gaffes ever?. I agree with Rovers fans tbf, their club is truly “special and unique”!!

Tbf though they were comparing themselves with Tottenham recently in terms of stadium expenditure  so probably took advice from them on marketing and as a result I look forward to the Spurs season ticket flyer complete with image of The Emirates.......:

They are considering giving Sunderland more tickets for the Check it out Trophy semifinal to make more money due to poor home ticket sales.

I thought the Gas and Sunderland were all brand new besties and united in their hatred of everything “Ted”.....did they have a lovers tiff or something?

Ha, they haven’t had crowds of 15k+ since the 60s.

But hang on...I thought they were ‘proper fans’? Real supporters, not ‘plastic’ like wot us ‘teds’ is?

This is another Saghead suggesting that they won’t turn up and support their team in decent numbers unless they’ve got a nice comfy seat to sit in?

If they play on the street we’ll watch from the pavement” ?

    Full of shit.

Yeah but you forget that about 18 months ago when they were ”gert coming for da Shit” they were selling out their 12k stadium every week with literally thousands of them watching on the big screen in the car park...............weren’t they?
