We don`t need to, we get decent crowds anyway!
Let`s not forget that the entire attendance at the swamp yesterday could fit in the Lansdown Stand with loads of seats to spare.
Lansdown lower tier just to put it into perspective.

You have got to credit the Gas though in that how can a WHOLE FANBASE be so deluded the day after they got 6,400 of their own through the turnstiles . Comparing yourself to a club that get 50k home gates Not one poster has asked the guy if he’s on crack cocaine.......

Our potential support puts us right up there with the likes of Middlesbrough, Southampton, West Ham, Wolves, Blackburn, Derby etc etc.
Read more: http://gasheads.org/thread/8410/missing-2-000#ixzz5yxBhaLAUEven by Gaslogic criteria that comment is just plain mental. We may as well say our potential support is up there with United, Barca, Bayern and Juve.......it’s about as realistic as that guff!!

Ah a great vintage, back in the days when they still had all the best e-numbers in the recipe.
That explains it then.....

Might start betting on opposition down to ten men every time that shower with their huge support are home.......it happens too many times.

They are going to get lucky this season. Bolton need Snookers, Bury are gone meaning only three get relegated anyway and there are a couple of sides in there that are so awful the Fewers will stay in that league by default.

What are the chances of a limited overs cricket game being played on a Saturday evening (during an Ashes Series) in Bristol getting a higher gate than the Fewers this weekend?
If it’s a limited overs Boob Cricket Quarter Final the Mem will be empty.......

The only “neutral” in the UK that has ever expressed that view........

Using Gas Logic which dictates only 15% of your fans actually attend home games we have over 130K supporters...........if 236% of our fan base all donated £75K per month for 22 years I cannot think of a single major trophy we wouldn’t win.

The BP are almost as bad as the Fewers with their views on the Sags support, not a week goes by without them saying how great they are
Amazing travelling support
It was hard to know which side were the away team at the Pirelli Stadium as the travelling Gasheads dominated in the stands as their side did on the pitch.
The blue and white quarter clad visitors may have been outnumbered, although only just with only 2831 in the ground, but they were loud and fully supportive for the full 90 minutes and then some, staying to clap off the Pirates players after the final whistle despite them making the long trip back to Bristol with no points to show for their efforts.
Only just. The other week they “outnumbered” Coventry........let’s see how much noise a full house makes at the Mem next home game.

Ok that is a bit over the top if true.
But where do you draw the line when it comes to offence? Many of our fans when at Brighton a few years ago sang a lot worse, I know it may be a different time now but there is no offence meant by most football songs. When will we not be allowed to sing "who ate all the pies", "you fat b******", call a managers mother a "lady of the night", abuse players with whatever is made up on the spot etc etc. It is mainly banter in a stand and is forgot about when the whistle goes and you leave. Too many people are offended on behalf of others (who they do not even know and certainly do not know that persons point of view). Won't be long before you get given a song sheet of songs you are allowed to sing the way it is going.
Ban those songs just like the Boxing ring women and darts walk on girls - who were happy in their job and earning good money, all because some other women didn't like it.......
I get it. Some were taking offence at our own Kasey Palmer song recently, dissecting it line by line for true meaning by saying “I’d let you shag my wife” implied you own her......when in reality it’s just words that rhyme with the song, nothing more and nothing less. Unfortunately we live in a world where if someone is offended by what you say then it’s automatically deemed an offensive comment!!

I really don't want to stick up for the poor sags, but rightly or wrongly, these "homophobic" chants were just "we can see you holding hands". If there were more unsavoury ones then fair enough, but I was told by 2 saggies that is all that was sung. The Brighton fans then sung back about them being too ugly to get a boyfriend (or along those lines). Seriously is that really now classed as homophobic, will the Brighton fans come under scrutiny for calling other fans "ugly"?
I honestly don't see anything offensive in any of that, and if it was sung by our lot I certainly wouldn't take any offence to it.
Has the World gone totally PC bonkers, or is it just me not seeing anything in that? Will anyone be getting kicked out for singing "you fat ******" in the near future?
You’re just a town full of benders was the other chant apparently.

Said it the other day but worth reiterating- smacks a LOT of Accrington Stanley 1962, this final phase.
That was as of yesterday.
Accrington Stanley 1962.
EFL though technically a different organisation as Football League all one thing then, and not exactly identical circumstances, have YET AGAIN done the wrong thing by a club with potential for being saved at the last!!
So Accrington Stanley went bust for less than £1m in today’s money. How many EFL clubs are “only” £1m in the red as of today?!!!

Hmmmmm...
EFL meeting at midday.
Here's MY hope of what will be announced- obviously a reversal and saving but also, a bit of a wishlist:
- Bury saving.
- A FULL investigation into both Bolton and Bury, with legal action against the likes of Anderson, Dale, and yes Harvey etc if failings applicable and punishable by law are found.
- New Independent body for EFL financial regulation- TRULY independent.
- Changes to certain FFP loopholes, which should never have been lifted in the first place.
- Perhaps dare I dream, an investigation into certain clubs who exploited said loopholes- a full and independent one at that, with FFP submissions retrospectively adjusted and points docked if necessary- with the punishment for Aston Villa either to be applied by PL or kept in reserve for if/when they return.
Obviously the first one is the main one but any of the other 4 would be excellent and a very nice bonus. Long overdue in the case of 3 and 4 as well!
There is a lot of regulation that SHOULD be now enforced on all EFL clubs as a lesson learned from this. There are genuine fears that Bury could be the tip of the iceberg.
However can you see a situation where clubs vote for that? For example if you introduced far more stringent (and sensible) rules on allowable expenditure and loss making relative to GENUINE turnover where would that leave us? Is that any chance of us reaching the Premiership in the next ten years gone? Do we create a closed shop Premiership in all but name and a Championship where the relegated Premiership sides have even more clout than they do now? Even the bloody Gas are managing to spunk £65K a week they don’t have!!
Perhaps things would right themselves in time if the EFL bit the bullet and the game would be longer term better for it?

My one question would be how much longer can you give Bury? They will already be playing 2 games per week through much of the season to catch up as it currently stands.

Brighton literally bought your best player to stick in their reserves who then got out muscled by little Tom Nichols who then scored what must be his 7th goal in about 100 apps.
Thanks for spending another night obsessing over us.
Much love, always in your minds,
Rovers x
£22m being considerably more than the entire value of your club. Good luck with the season ticket refund slaggy.

The Gas love to talk about “big numbers” that they take here, there and everywhere yet the one number that is really important to football clubs, season ticket sales, has been consistently poor throughout their entire existence.

In all seriousness their crowds have been poor this season even by their lowly standards and they were losing £65K per week when they were touching 8-9k on an occasional basis.

2K is just an imaginary number made up to form a stick with which to beat “they Teds”.......that number was then multiplied by a different imaginary number then compared to their actual attendances and the answer was that they are of similar size to West Ham, Wolves, Middlesbrough, Derby and Blackburn.
It took a few years but scientists have finally worked out #Gaslogic in action.....
