Definitely not an empty seat next to me in the South Stand.

In fact this weeks’ resident was so large they were overflowing into my seat.

Fat people shouldn't be made to feel uncomfortable at Ashton Gate, so but two seats!

  2. Very much enjoying waking up this morning to read comments from a Rovers fan on a City forum trying their very best to score points (using examples from at least 20 years ago to do it) ironically after Rovers have just scored some points!  I must admit references to Bros were a definite highlight, I hope they keep going, maybe John Atyeo is in for pasting soon?

  3. As discussed in the membership thread, It boils down to the lack of choice for how you receive your tickets.  The only option now is to print at home/show on your phone, so the price advertised should be inclusive of all costs including booking fee as per ASA guidance.

I think somebody mentioned that when raised before the club said they would check what other clubs do which is a poor response, they are effectively saying that if other clubs screw their fans then we will do the same!  How about so the right thing by your own fans and screw the other clubs who are wrong!

Dunno about you but I'm quite fond of having the NHS, police, fire service, the people who defend our country, the people who collect your rubbish etc etc and I'd like them to be adequately funded. But apparently a billionaire hasn't got enough money in the bank.

SL will have already paid more tax than all of us put together earn in a life time

Recently had 10 nights in Italy, lakes and mountains.

Saw only 1 football shirt the whole time, a Man U shirt on a young girl.

Was also in Italy for the World Cup 2006 around when they beat Germany in the semi. No flags on houses or cars, no shirts being worn. Mind you when they won the semi the town went nuts, all the locals from nearby villages came into town in farm trucks and tractors and spent the night driving around sounding horns and waving flags.

My father in law wanted an Italian football shirt brought back but I had to wait until the airport duty free before I could find on on sale.

Football shirts seems to be a British thing apart from Germany or do I have that wrong?

Italians have too much style to wear sweat shop made football shirts!  Their football scarves are great though and the big accessory for Italian fans

What were you “tempted” to say to the kids parents in a Barca top?

It’s none of your business what football tops kids wear.

I could be wrong but I think they were making a joke

Couldn’t disagree more about Dickie. Thought he was excellent in the first half.

It's funny how people see things differently, I was sat corner of Lansdown South Stand so he was quite prominent in my view 1st half

When that triple sub was made, he said ‘coming onto the pitch number 4’

    That was it.

He then took a few mins to say who was subbed on, but did it whilst we were celebrating another goal I think.

God knows what he was saying, absolutely useless.

Yeh that was brilliant, 3 subs no announcements, even the assistant refs number board didn't work, then out of now where 'coming onto the pitch No 4'!  Shambles

Yeah I was thinking that. I guess they wanted to rest midfielders, not defenders though.

Rob Dickie looked like he was blowing out his arse in the first half, he wasn't on it at all, not winning much, passing poor, slow, 2nd half he didn't have anything to do however

Yeboah looks quick and strong which is great, just needs time to work on what options to take

Just for clarification please, is this up to date?

The next SC&T meeting will be the first week in September, if not resolved before then I want to ensure that I am using the correct and latest information please, especially as this is something that I have no experience in

    https://www.asa.org.uk/advice-online/ticket-pricing-1.html

Here is the link, seems to be the latest guidance, certainly from Nov 2021 from what I can see, I just checked our website and when you book the tickets it says the price including fee, but I don't know if they have advertised anywhere the 'tickets from £10' line?  I assume from some comments that they have, which is in breach as misleading.  Can you tell I'm a Head of Internal Audit? ?

    Correct it is misleading

This was actually brought up with Phil Alexander and Dave Barton at the meeting the other week

    Two bits I can feed back ;

Phil said that the club were currently looking into whether these additional charges are common around other football clubs, and he would be reporting back as soon as the checks were complete

It was asked why any additional cost couldn't be included in the advertised price, using your example above Phil stated that the ticket would show £10 though and people would question the difference in cost - the ticket could show the included amount on the home tickets but obviously wouldn't on the away ticket

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) Code rule 3.18 states that all quoted prices must include non-optional taxes, duties, fees and charges that apply to all or most buyers. If a booking fee is not optional, ticket prices must be stated inclusive of any booking fee, unless the booking fee cannot be calculated in advance.

I would argue that the booking fee is not optional (I.e. you have to pay it regardless of whether you print at home or get a print copy), so should always form part of the price advertised and not be tagged on, so if the club advertised tickets for tonight's game as 'from £10' then they would be in breach.

Is it in Robins TV ?

Not sure but it is only £10 a ticket (plus fee) and there are nearly all of the tickets left by the look of it when I booked last night, pick any seat you like!

  12. Shame there is not a legit ticket exchange system in place, I've used Dice before for music gigs, where if a gig is sold out but you want a ticket, you register and get added to a waiting list, then if somebody can't make the gig the next person on the waiting list is contacted and has x amount of time to purchase the ticket from the person who can no longer go, if you don't take up the option it goes to the next on the list, if you do you pay the face value and this goes to the seller directly.  It works really well and stops ticket touts over charging
