There are lot of rumours that GGG is unwell with a stomach bug.
He certainly looked a bit gaunt at the weigh in today, but it's probably just Matchroom trying to generate more PPVs!
Are we going to agree again!!!
Nelson mentioned on the sky build up that GGG looked gaunt in the eyes at the press conference which he said was unusual at that stage before the weigh in. There are rumours that GGG has under estimated Brook due to the jump in weight.
Brook looks huge at the weigh in

Anyone have any idea what time Haskins and Brook fights are due to start?
Haskins I believe is due to start at 10 and Brook 10:30. Clearly expecting an early finish in Haskins fight!

Using words like definitive and unequivocal you certainly aren't!

So back to the business in hand. Is Wally going to give a definitive, unequivocal statement on the UWE stadium in tonight's blockbuster radio production.
NO!

Kell will be relying on his speed more than anything else I would say. GGG is a very underrated boxer, as @joe jordans teeth and I were discussing a few pages back. He is incredibly effective at closing down the ring and getting his opponents exactly where he wants them before opening up. His footwork is exceptional too.
I got the impression from the presser today that as the fight gets closer Kell's confidence is waning too despite what is coming out of his mouth.
Agree with you that Haskins v Hall is going to be very interesting. It's certainly a massive stage for Haskins as you say, the sort he doesn't normally experience due to his not exactly crowd pleasing style. As an aside, I also believe Lee might have the worst tattoos in boxing! I'm really looking forward to it- I think @B1ackbird said he was at the first fight between them?
@Super it's been hard for GGG to get decent fights, every bugger runs a mile, like El Pollo Canelo! David Limeux was a highly regarded KO artist and GGG dismantled him in short order. Watch for him dropping his hands and letting Kell hit him, he likes it Mexican Style! Big Drama Show!
Good to see we agree on something!!!
Tough, tough fight for Brook and like you say be interesting to see how he reacts to when GGG cuts down the size of the ring and is on top of him. Kell has to take the centre of the ring, good footwork and be aggressive and as daft as it sounds for a boxer accept he's going to get hit hard but keep pushing into his punches. It's a dangerous game plan

He's just trying to call his bluff. Regardless of which team Bert does support, he speaks the truth. Regularly.
Watch as nothing happens on the UWE plans, then Jan arrives and a couple more loans come in and perhaps if they are lucky 1 perm signing from non-league. Will the penny have dropped then....doubt it.
Not when BBC1 are blowing smoke up Wally's asshole this week. Unfortunately for the Rovers they've got an owner who in my opinion has no interest in them and for him this is an ego trip without the money required.

This will be both fighters hardest fight, I think Brook going up two weight devisions, is too much to ask.
i hope Kell starts off well as I'll bet GGG in play KO/TKO...
Agree toughest fight for both, but something makes me think Kell may out box GGG. Watching him yesterday in the public work out he was switching stance and I think that's going to be his gameplan.
Interested in how Hawkins does on Saturday , big stage for him against Hall

As my esteemed Gashead friend and potential drinking partner states, yes - England age group honours.
In fact Colkett is a team mate of your loanee Abraham and has got some very good reviews - sounds promising and I hope he can display his full potential in the rough and tumble of League 1.
A number of Chelsea fans on Twitter surprised he's gone to L1 and not the Championship.
Some write-ups:

Seems a great signing for us and I'm sure Bert is equally as excited by his joining as I am!
Edit :. And Clarke-Salter sounds promising too! On paper good business by Darrell today
Maybe Wally got them when he renewed his Chelsea season tickets!

Saw "the family club" support was on top form in Swindle today!
Why oh why did city fans travel to Swindon today? I know it was an early kick off but they wouldn't have got back in time for the Villa game

Not being critical but he will look foolish if we lose 3-0 ! Wouldn't put it past us to win though
Isn't it refreshing to go to teams like Norwich and say this is us, we're going to give you a game can you deal with us? Or go to Derby and say we aren't as good as them? Just an opinion.
However, I do think there's a balance between the two. Personally think we're too open, but sure as anything we'll worry them at the back

Very attacking. Could end in tears.
Agree, think we're far too open. However, should we be critical? Going there to have a go at them

I know that Tomlin seems to have started the season on a whining streak but not the whole City team.
Obviously Norwich are used to whining as a team effort, so they had better watch out as too much whining can lead to refs giving out yellows this season.
Oh the typo error and from someone in downend, thought the postcode would mean we stick together !
-
Our toughest game of the season today imo. Forget Newcastle, Villa this is a side that is used to playing at this level and whining. A good sign of where we actually are in the pecking order of the league.
Point tonight would be a tremendous result, unfortunately I can't see it. 3-1 Norwich

4-1 to City, Tomlin x2, O'Neil and Flint.
Also think they'll score today, from highlights last weekend look like they play an open attacking game. Will certainly be up for it , there first home game at this level.
Important we win, two tough games coming up next week. Will be a good confidence boost going into them with three wins on the bounce

Why bother? We beat them relatively easily a couple of seasons ago, we have consistently been the best side for over a decade, we have nothing to prove and only a fan riot/ injuries/ suspensions to gain. If they are ever in the same league as us again the. We have something to prove and a genuine rivalry again. Until then they have a tent and a fake sheik...
Two promotions and a billionaire owner !

Please, please, please can these lot beat Cardiff on Thursday (not impossible) and please, please let us play them in the second round at the gate.
Let's show these lot what a real owner with real money can achieve with regards to the building of a new stadium.
Little Lee, play a strong team. It doesn't matter how many facebook likes you get, who gives a **** about that. Let's put 3 or 4 past them and remind them of their place in Bristol football on and off the pitch

It's dawned on them.
"
Just got back. If it's true Wael got no money to sign players we are in trouble. It's not the defence it's the midfield and attack where we are weak. Take away Taylor and we got nothing. Lines was his usual pretty boy self today. DC must be hopping mad he can't sign no one."
Don't pay any attention to a city fan on there. It's very simple, they've got a tight squad that have got promoted twice. They don't need new players, the ones they have will have them challenging in league 1. Wally doesn't need to spend any money , they've got the perfect squad. That's why Wally hasn't used his contacts at Chelsea.
Mind the gap, the blue few are coming with their billionaire owner.

Think this will be an entertaining attacking game. Going for a high score draw

My observations on Wally whatever his name is: I've seen yet another photo of him posing with a famous footballer, he seems to be using his 'status' as a football club owner to smooze his way to meeting these people for his own self benefit. He 'owns' BRFC but doesn't seem to really want to play with his new toy.
People buy football clubs for various reasons, club they supported, chance to make a quick profit or ego. For Wally it appears to the later. The number of times he's been seen out with their supporters with no doubt his ego being massaged suggests that's his objective. I've never seen or heard of any member of our current board out on the piss with fans etc. Unfortunately for the blue few he's a Chelsea fan, with no real links to either Bristol or the blue few. In his defence I don't think he was told the whole story about their finances and his wealth isn't anywhere near enough to cover what they need

Looking forward to today, going into a game expecting to win, with their form to date and us on the back of a good second half versus Villa
Are we expecting Tammy to be fit?
