  1. Well, Maradonna’s stature did make him a Manchild.
  2. Awful game from what I remember and scrappy goals too. Going to the Millennium Stadium didn’t have the same allure as a trip to Wembley.
  3. We’ve found wins difficult to come by this season and when we have won we’ve had to work very hard for the points, so I’m taking nothing for granted.
  4. Yes, he sticks in my mind too - an indifferent midfielder who became a very decent right back.

  8. I assumed this kit in the background in the video about our deal with Hummel is the new one. If it is I like it. If it isn’t, does anyone know what it is? Apologies if I have missed the answer in this or a different thread.

  12. Interesting - I’ve never thought winning headers is his strong point, I always see his main strength as when he gets the ball at chest height or to feet to hold up.
  13. I voted for Weimann and Scott. Champagne moment : Weimann’s hat-trick. But I wish I would have voted for the AG8 celebration.

  18. Loved him. He was a great character and when he pointed to the heavens it helped stir fans up (and I’m saying that as an atheist). His determination was excellent (I’m sure I read somewhere he used to practice when he didn’t have a club by getting his wife to take shots at him in the park) and he went from non-league to being in a side that was a whisker away from reaching the top division. Very fond memories of him.

  21. Cundy played well on Saturday. A very mature display for a player who has been in so few Championship games. Whether he is going to be good enough consistently at this level remains to be seen, but Saturday was very promising.
  22. Shelton was such an excellent player. He scored City’s first goal in my first ever away game (3-0 win at Cardiff in 1989 in torrential rain, a game when Super Bob scored a screamer of a volley).
  23. Fight For Your Right - Beastie Boys
