So when did this upper/lower arm rule start? It seems over-complicated in my opinion. To me, the Man City player controls the ball with his arm so it’s a penalty. I can see how Everton are outraged given that they are scrapping for points at the wrong end of the table.

He is the best young player I’ve ever seen emerging into the City first team and he has so many attributes…..skill, vision, tenacity, reading of the game, work ethic, and others I’ve probably missed out. He’s got huge potential. I really hope he’s with us next season.

What I find infuriating (apart from the way their scorer was allowed to ghost in) is the amount of space their player who plays the pass in has in the third and fourth pics.

I thought the stewards dealt with the kids on the pitch well last night. Hopefully that’ll nip it in the bud.

Klose did slow the game down in the first half and there was a lot of sideways passing between him and Kalas, but as has been mentioned on this thread there wasn’t much movement ahead of them. The second half was much better for that.

I thought we were quite poor in the first half - we were too slow and lacked intensity and movement. The second half was a big improvement. It’s so frustrating that we continue to give away goals so cheaply.

It was a great tribute to the 8 today. Good to see Geoff Merrick enjoying himself!

Excellent 3 points today. Boro had a lot of the ball and I thought we gave them too much space at times, but our defending was resolute. It was good to see Kalas driving forward with the ball and Bentley was superb. Semenyo was excellent - what an amazing goal and great strength when he set up Weimann (who worked his socks off again). Sam Bell had a good game. And when Pring came on I thought he did really well - he has a great turn of pace. It was nervy after their late goal but it’s so good to see the improvement in our home form and a very welcome win.
