I’ve never been on coach 1 (otherwise I wouldn’t be alive ?) but when I’ve been on coach 2 or 3, where there are quite a few regulars, the steward always said something like “sit anywhere apart from the first 5 rows”. So I assume on coach 1 the steward would guide non-regulars where to sit.

Yes, I remember that! Great goal! I also recall that, frustratingly, when the highlights were on the local news Roger Malone talked it through (in that wonderfully weird way he did), but they only showed it from when the ball left Newman’s boot and not the build up. So until you mentioned it I didn’t know about Jordan’s chest pass.

Since I have been going to games in the early 80s, the best result for me has to be 3-0 at Wembley. Seeing City win there for the first time was something special. The ones I enjoyed most - hard to choose between 5-4 at Mansfield, the Donowa game v the fewers, Anfield in 1994, 2-1 v Man Utd and 8-2 v Walsall.

Completely agree. Apart from their obvious talent, the attitude the likes of Benarous, Scott, Pring and Semenyo show on the pitch has given us something to be proud of in the team and something to enjoy after a couple of years where things felt lost.

Great news. Like Alex Scott, he has an edge to his game and he has been impressive when played out of position. We’ve got some very exciting young players and the longer we can keep hold of them the better.

Same here. He played well when NP first took over and can weigh in with goals. There was also that time he played for the U23s in a bid to show his commitment. But something clearly isn’t right behind the scenes.

Yes, it was a great stepover by Massengo. Didn’t he also do one in the build up to Martin’s goal earlier this season at QPR? That move will always be associated with Walshy for me, he was the master of it. It seemed to work every time.

These probably get given a lot but I don’t think it’s a pen. Their legs get tangled as they’re trying to get in front of each other. Although the defender seems to look up at the ref nervously as soon has he’s on the floor.

There’s no way Pring can take the blame for that goal. He showed impressive energy and determination to win the ball and drive forwards. It looks like he was fouled to me. We had every other player apart from Semenyo behind the ball when that counter attack broke down on the edge of their penalty area. Williams (I think) seemed slow in getting across to cover the space vacated by Pring. He reacted at first but then lost ground. Then when the cross went in Kalas and Vyner both switched off to give their player space for what was a good finish. But he was unchallenged.

Sad news about Barry Cryer. He was hilarious on Sorry I Haven’t A Clue.
