We definitely didn't do enough in the second half tonight. Apart from one chance for Kodjia we weren't much of a threat, which was a shame because in the first half we looked dangerous at times. They seemed to score their goals too easily - not sure if that was because of their quality or our bad defending or a bit of both. Good support from their fans (albeit very very very repetitive). I was running a bit late tonight so had a beer in the concourse instead of heading to a pub. I liked the selection of beers in the South Stand/Dolman corner. Service in the South Stand concourse at half-time was very quick as well. I'm confident that we have the ability to get something at Blackburn on Saturday. The sooner we are mathematically safe the better.

What a depressing evening. That 8 point gap we did so well to establish has been whittled down and we are right back in the relegation mix. The last two games have seen a return of the soft side that has cost us this season, losing to seemingly very average sides. Hopefully we will soon return to the form that ground out those results a couple of weeks ago. Also hopefully Rotherham's purple patch will soon come to an end. Not sure what to expect from the Fulham game. Part of me thinks we should realistically aim to get something out of a game against fellow strugglers. The other part of me remembers how they tore us apart earlier this season. Those home games against Bolton and Rotherham are now looking even more significant.

That was such a frustrating performance against what I thought was a very average Cardiff team. We seemed to dominate play for long periods but there was zero end product - lots of bad decision making in the attacking third and we over-complicated our play far too much. We never really looked like we were going to score. They rarely threatened but still managed to get two goals. That naivety that has plagued us for most of the season is still a problem. Hope the players learn from it and that we pick something up at Wolves.

I now regret this pre-match comment - maybe I jinxed him! Overall we were pretty poor defensively, which I suppose wasn't a surprise seeing as two of our first choice defenders were injured. Vyner obviously struggled and we were exposed down our right-hand side throughout, even once he had been substituted. My first instinct when they got their second was that O'Donnell should have saved it but the highlights might prove me wrong. Not sure why Joe Bryan was taken off because he seemed to be causing them some problems on that side. I think 4-0 flattered them somewhat. They pressed us well and took their chances but we gifted them their goals. Hope Vyner's confidence isn't now completely shot. At least results in games involving teams below us went our way. Hopefully we can tighten up again at the back in the Forest game.
