  1. Yes, I’m sure our club analysts do that and more. I was more referring to FBC pod, when Ian says something like “I’ve been doing some analysis….”, comes up with something that is purely presentation of some random numbers without any context, and calls it analysis. Then two weeks later has to come up with some new numbers, because the old numbers no longer correlate with his previous opinion! ?
  2. Got to stop going back into the space we’ve just come from. Got to open the pitch up.
  3. We was tv to play from the back but when CBS come deep and Earps has to go long there are big spaces. And Germany quickest to it.
  4. I do love it how we always look for blame an individual or a department or both. Never any credit to the opposition, nor any collective “blame”. Nor is there reflection on the overall game, usually just what happened for the goals. Its not “analysis” if you just look at the numbers for possession, shots, corners, etc, and draw conclusions from that. Analysis is deeper than that and involves context too, it involves looking at the why, how, who, etc. xG on its own isn’t analysis either. Knee-jerk reactions, coupled with conscientious bias frustrate me. Football is back.
  5. If you look at Mitrovic’s headers last season, every one he pushes his marker with much more force than Vyner’s hands being placed (not pushed imho) on Estupinan’s back. Dont get me wrong I’ve seen them given.
  6. I pay through my Uk credit card. The payment method doesn’t matter, it’s where (the location) you access it from that needs to be abroad. Robinstv - paid for Windscribe - free
  7. Did you think Vyner’s was a penalty. I didn’t. Contact is allowed, he’s partly running into Vyner’s line. Vyner shouldn’t put his hands up, but it’s not a foul imho.
  8. Ta…now have 2x15gb and 1x10gb. That should see me through until reset data. I have two twitter accounts - davefevs and FevsFootball so was able to use each.
  9. At the end of the day the standards of refereeing are unacceptable. They are professional and yet their decision making has worsened. The penalty was (imho) a direct consequence of not giving the two incredibly tame appeals they had first half. I’ve just watched back the Vyner incident. If you watch it carefully Estupinan angles his runs onto his (Vyner’s) line when it becomes clear the cross is gonna be slightly too high for him. Vyner needn’t put his hands on his back, but it’s not a push. Ref gets that right, but it seems a ref cannot turn down three appeals for a home side without giving a penalty. I felt very much like the Preston (a) under Andy Davies, when you just could feel it was building up to giving them a decision. That should never be the case. Each decision should be made on its merits. That’s where many of todays referees get swayed, and make bad decisions. They referee on a totting up basis.
  10. For info, cup game isn’t until the mid week after Sunderland not this week.
  11. All good summaries above. A decent performance. Just the effing result and the effing referee!!!! Arghhhhhhh
  12. I think he can play no10, just that he’s better (imho) as a CM (no8). In the champ it’s quite easier to find no space in the gap between the opposition CBs and CM/DM. Freeman found it incredibly difficult. The option is to play a flatter three, Holden-ball 5122 or a box-3421. Without the ball today I thought these two following photos summed up the game. The good: High(ish) press….Scott, Martin and Weimann, together with Williams forcing Seri deep but also little way out other than long balls which we dealt with. The bad (harsh) - the not so good: If Hull broke the initial press and we retreated into a mid-block, we become more 541. Hull then got Greaves down the left to double up with Sayyadmanesh against Sykes (who did well). It allowed their midfield to get into gaps and it became harder for us to clear our lines, because Martin becomes isolated. Same formation, different phases of play, different positions. We ended up a bit like pic2 more in the second half. We didn’t really move the ball with as much tempo second half either. Hey-ho.
  13. I’ve got two free Windscribe accounts. 10gb each. Just created a third!
  14. Yes, it means he could’ve picked up a yellow card on three occasions easily…the fact he didn’t is scandalous.
  15. I thought with the subs, we’d weathered their early second half pressure, and were edging back on top. Awful decision.
  16. No, Szmodics had made a really good impression all pre-season….Palmer signed in the week leading up to the first game v Leeds, and went straight into the team.
  17. Yes, more like Full HD than 720p today….mine went down a huge amount about 7.4gb. I have two Windscribe accounts, separate emails, and swap between them.
  18. Very biased towards Hull. They got away with not getting several yellows. Sayyadmanesh could’ve easily been booked three times. Frustrating.
  19. 1st half summary. In the main, decent, started well, Hull has a spell of possession, then we got through it, scored when wed got back on top...and then weathered a bit of pressure in final minutes. +'s: Sykes, Naismith, Weimann -'s: None James and Williams dove-tailing nicely.
