Unless the club offer some good deals ST for next season are going to be pretty low.
Exactly four years of shit football now fans will be looking to see an improvement .

Thought he came across well. He’s right to acknowledge that he expected us to be doing better. Can’t remember whether he said that on the Radio or the Post article.

It would be a bit grim hearing our ground in the media constantly referred to the “Huboo Stadium” or the “Dunder Arena”.

Others have mentioned it in the match day thread but I think it needs highlighting.
Surely it’s OFFSIDE. Their bloke heads it at Bentley who saves and Christie, who was in a an offside position when the ball was headed goalwards, puts it in. It’s so offside. I’ve seen it several times.
And then, of course, there’s the clear pen for the foul on Semenyo.
Officials almost as bad as our defending.Seems like that shite ref been around for years how much longer can he go on.

Have you watched the replay? Definitely not good enough.
Took his eye of his man which he tends to do a lot .

Swansea defence could have come at Antoine and co with chainsaws today and we’d have got nothing, another incredibly one sided refereeing display.
The man's a *** how many more years have we got to put up with him.

It genuinely impacts my ability to watch football - it grates on me how pathetic so many players are; give it the big un when they score or do something they are pleased with, yet whine and moan and throw themselves about at the slightest physical contact.
It is boring to watch when the biggest talking points often orbit around whether a challenge was fair/worthy of a foul, which is impossible to tell because most players ‘sell’ even minor contact like they’ve been knifed in the gut.
Other than City games, I don’t really watch football for general enjoyment anymore, in particular because of that.
Very true worst thing is when you get asshole refs like Antony Davies and that pratt last night .

20 free kicks against us (BBC) and 7 against Reading, strangely felt like more against us.
Kalas challenge may have been a foul, hard to say. But Ref didn't blow for a foul, they didn't have advantage and yet when the ball went dead he booked Kalas !! Bizarre
The Martin one I thought the foul was the other way, didn't see CM kick the ball away so the Booking baffled me.
On a side note, I have never seen athletes , 6 foot plus , scream like they did tonight. Fell over at the merest thought of a challenge, and the Ref gave every single one.
Pathetic footballers are tarts nowadays .

I remember a PNE scout coming down to watch one of our strikers at Brislington who’d been banging the goals in. He allegedly asked someone which player it was, saw the player was slightly greying so asked how old he was. 32 was the reply. “Ah, bollocks, heard he was 19”…got in his car and drove off.
Was that Geoff Britton

O'Dowda does sometimes stay on for 90 minutes.

I think that is quite sensible.
Not a massive fan of Weimann wide, but he is better in a front 3 than a 442 wide.
We would lose a lot in Dasilva in our passing game, technically and in the positions he takes up to receive a pass.
I guess Dasilva on the wing might be quite effective.
Yes would be better than odowda we all know he won't see out 90mins .

I would move to a back 4. Put DaSilva back to left back. Maybe Kalas or Vyner at Right Back.
They've sussed Dasilva out at the back hes too small gets beat on the far post .

Agree with all that Dave, would only add that Williams came out on the positive side too. Had forgotten Wiemann was playing until he got subbed off.
Weinmann and Martin were both crap at the seaside .

Kalas enjoyed two promotions to the Prem with Boro and Fulham where for both clubs he played mainly as right back rather than as a central defender. I seem to recall comments at the time he signed permanent for us that it was conditional on him being played in his "preferred position"!
Undoubtedly one of our best players this season, although some might question is he really all that when we have the 2nd worst defence in the division, is it time for Nigel to ask him to help us out in our problem position and allow us to line up like this against Reading
Bentley / Kalas, Cundy, Klose, Pring / Williams, HNM, Scott / Weimann / Semenyo, Martin [4-3-1-2]
You have two very experienced defenders, former internationals no less, helping out two relative rookie defenders, a more robust midfield and maintain the W-S-M combo up front.
If it were down to me I would rest Martin and play Semenyo and Weimann up top with Benarous or JD in instead to provide some width.
Thoughts?
Would like to see this . If weinman or Martin don't want to play bring on wells .

You are referring to the comments of Ian in isolation so please DO NOT cover the rest of us with that blanket of criticism.
Ian is just being Ian and whilst his voice on this subject sees him, for now, in a minority he is like anyone entitled to an opinion no matter how extreme.
Perhaps if you listened you would hear the more balanced view of Nick Sutton in particular.
I've been saying it for fifty years still here . Odowda must go

Anyone know if he was available for selection today?
Not saying he’s the answer (I haven’t seen enough of him to know), but NP wasn’t asked about him before the game, unlike Bentley.
Been told he's releasing him ?

For me, without a doubt 1977 last game of the season, Coventry 2-2.

It felt better than getting promotion the previous season.
