  1. My mate, his daughter ( our goddaughter) and son treated themselves to the Hospitality package today (Swansea FA Cup). Approaching half time and his teenage daughter knew she was going to throw-up and not because of the football on offer. She made it to the gangway before vomiting. The steward called for a cleaner which was the right and proper response. Currently only the young son is ok. The family have suggested that the only item of food he didn't eat were the sausages. The evidence suggests the illnesses are food related especially within the time frame of eating. If anyone else has a tummy bug/been sick as a result of today's visit to Ashton Gate's food outlets, please write to the club.
  2. Wednesday week will be the replay date. Great chance of it being on S4C at least=Free to air= record= watch in playback mode= sync to live commentary from Radio Brizz on BBC Sounds!
  3. Now working on City listen feed of Robins TV
  4. Martin Scott to Sunderland. IIRC he was starting to make a name for himself at Roger Park when he got badly injured and that was the end of his footballing career. I was really pleased for Sir Gerry Gow to get the transfer to Man City and watch him in the FA Cup final twice in a week. What a player. Jacki.
  5. Having not visited this thread for a few days, what fanblinkingtastic (I suppose that should read fanblinkinggastic) news for me to read on day 1 of 2023. If I feel chuffed for you, goodness knows how you must feel. A bit like all those of us who watched City at Mansfield when we won 4-5 only multiplied by a lot! Truly great news. Well done in the net.
  6. Only in June in the evening when asleep.
  7. Too clever for this time of (12th) night. What's more our defence were not a comedy of errors.

  11. Apparently he was going to be the next Man Utd boss as he was wanted by the Glaziers
  12. Who's this women's coach a few have wanted and what team does she come from? I've never heard of Jan Window.
  13. First game of the season, early 90s, and we were away to Wolves. The teams walked on to The Liquidator. The City players then told whoever how much they enjoyed the tune. Some players suggested it should be the entrance music at the Gate. I think this should be the new music... it will inspire!
  14. Isn't it something like nearly 800 days since our last penalty at Ashton Gate?
  15. Superb summary. I wish I had written that! In fact, there are many Christians, now including me, who have been bullied and stabbed in the back by those Life Of Brian protesters you mentioned. Rather than just sulk (I could represent England in any sulking competition), I eventually started my own podcasts. They are released weekly. The Christmas Special released today (24th) features the UKs top worship leader and songwriter Noel Richards. Martin Scott, a respected theologian joins us as well and we're all drinking wine! There are plenty of silly questions plus ones on Christmas myths and what annoyed them about Christianity in 2022! If you have a glass of wine or two and fancy a laugh and a Carol or two, please have a listen. Here's the link. Btw I do mention BCFC when I'm asked what superhero would I like to be in order to bring goodwill to this world at Christmas! You'll find the free and non-subscription based Off Grid Christianity podcasts on all the major platforms (Amazon/Spotify/iTunes etc) https://www.stitcher.com/show/off-grid-christianity
  16. As a 'religious type' myself, it is embarrassing to remember what went on when Life of Brian was released. I still think Python got bits of it right with the Sermon on the Mount scene! Theologians have tried to correct this embarrassment. A few years ago, a church showed the Life Of Brian with a discussion afterwards as to what Python got right. John Cleese was invited and duly went.
  17. And the Gaiety in Knowle where the projection room was sandwiched between the stalls and the front row of the circle. This meant sweet wrappers could be dropped from the circle. Everybody would see on the screen, the gradual descent of said wrappers!
  18. Made to make your mouth water! 2 adverts for the price of one
  19. Kiosks Newsagents. Are they still a going concern?
