  1. Fantastic news Estonia. Thanks for sharing. I am concerned though that you might be getting a knock off version. My version has Gary Owers!
  2. I thought I knew this film back to front, inside out etc but never realised Derek was wearing a Shrewsbury Town shirt.
  3. Wow! The number of players that have rest injuries. I blame the medical team!
  4. Indeed Phil. I did 2 separate quotes but the otib algorithm bunged them together.
  5. And I'm pretty sure the biggest ever selling single for the RAK label (considering that label also had the fantastic CCS, Hot Chocolate, Kim Wilde and Mud to name but a few)!
  6. I often think of this song when peeling an onion. Never knew that. Great fact Slarti!
  7. I thought i was Internet savvy-lite! Couldn't find it Miah!
  8. Nobody has mentioned The Buzzcocks. Surely Manchester's finest 70s band? But before posting I did a quick Google. Now I know why nobody has mentioned them. They're from Bolton. I never knew that!
  9. Have I seen a photo of a sailing ship on the Eastville pitch or have I eaten too much cheese?
  10. I thought it was at St. Paul's Cathedral?
  11. Hopefully we don't have to play hardball and BCFC will honour us with Radio Brizz this season.
  12. Great. Thanks. I wrote to them during the game when we had RobinsTV commentary. I got a refund for the game. They were given a full explanation from me as to why the commentary was unacceptable (plus a breach of contract which stated Radio Bristol would supply the audio). Haven't heard anything more.
  13. A Leeds Utd friend likes to send me photos of all things BCFC he comes across. One photo was of the programme for the game against Man City on Friday 17th Feb, 1978. According to Google, we drew 2-2. However, I can't find out why the game was played on a Friday. Live TV matches started in 1983 and the Fireman Strike ended end of January (clutching at non-flammable straws here). I most probably was there but I can't remember anything about the game or the reason for a Friday night fixture. So my question is why was this game played on a Friday? Any answers gratefully received!
  14. The Phantom Of The O.P?
  15. I think you mean Robins TV. The audio only channel shouldn't be an issue (unless we get the awful tv commentary again instead of Radio Brizz).
  16. That was similar to the Admiral away kit of the 70s. It was fantastic.
  17. I have to disagree with you LR but then I never saw the original cut. Apparently, the reviews weren't exactly positive with questions thrown at a young lady. I watched only a couple of months ago, the newly restored version of Part 3. Very good it was too. I then read all the negative reviews of the film when originally released. If they had only watched the latest version. And for the record, the Director's daughter proved she could act in the version I saw. Worth checking out LR. The ending is different as well.
  18. I suppose Phil you'd like a standing ovation for that suggestion? You'd be one of the chosen few if you understood this!
  19. I think Parson Street Station has missed out on 1000s of extra passengers, especially those who use Search Engines to find train times to New destinations. The Station should be renamed Parson Street (Bristol Airport). Whether Blackwell and Nailsea is nearer as the crow flies is neither here nor there. Both have Bristol in their title. Both are a nightmare for parking, pick-up etc.. A perfect marriage!

I was there! I was right in line with the cross. I still have flashbacks and why he didn't score.
  21. Or that out of all the other occasions when playing 7 a side, this is the first time you've worn a new City shirt when fracturing a bone. Obviously a sign we're getting promoted! Get well soon.
