  1. Working now. You'd think someone would monitor it. I'd do it if they asked me.
  2. I've tried everything. Glad to know it's not me.
  3. Same backing band though. Billy Bremner (not that one) guitar Nick Lowe bass Terry Williams drums (went on to take over from Pick Withers Dire Straits) Dave Edmunds guitar Collectively also known as Rockpile.
  4. R-R, you typed all that with just your index finger on your smart phone? Major respect!
  5. Good news for those of us who can't get to the Gate tomorrow night (I still haven't bought my Lear Jet as the Nigerian Prince hasn't sent me the promised money.)
  6. Noooooo! ? How long before someone prints a pun about chips?
  7. I am annoyed, very annoyed. I was there throughout our dark days. Like many and despite being on a meagre salary, I was one of many buying shares. I deliberately went to the Robins TV YouTube feed instead of listening via my Robins Listen subscription. I knew that the YouTube feed would be stopped prior to 3pm. All went well with the showing of the Geoff Merrick and Peter 'I'm a Gashead' Aitken (he admitted that in the interview). But why oh why couldn't Robins TV have shown us the Ashton Gate 8 on the pitch? As a former broadcaster and OB manager, it would've been very easy to set up. I wanted to applaud the 8 from my armchair. I wanted to be part of the celebration despite living a long way from BS3. Robins TV, what you did for the many of us was pathetic and slap in the face to those of us who were there at the time but can't attend. Instead we get....
  8. Unfortunately I can't remember where in East Bristol it was but in the early 80s, there was a chip shop that used to sell faggots, peas and gravy. We used to stop there on the way back from band practice in Bath. Absolutely gorgeous with chips. Anyone know where it might have been?
  9. I can't believe they haven't got The Wurzels to rerecord the Dolly Parton penned Whitney Houston song I Will Always Huboo.
  10. Duh! Took me a few minutes to get this. Bravo Monsieur Robbo de Rouge.
  11. Wasn't this part of the forum originally named after your colleague General Chat?
  12. Wild Planet is where you'll find it on the B52s second album. Bought it the day it was released. Still love it to this day. Their 3rd album Mesopotamia was the total opposite. It might have improved!
  13. If only this song was better known.... Private Idaho
  14. Wait till they start moaning that it's not on Robins TV today.
  15. Thanks MarcusX. I've reread it. You're right. There's a difference between an unvaccinated contact and someone who has had covid but is unvaccinated!
  16. Has to be 70s. Check out the turnstile entrance to the East End. To the right should be the St John's Ambulance and Police cabins. They were there in the early 80s. However, I'm more concerned with the UFO on the picture!
  17. I recognised the main stand. Wasn't it a reserve game at the Mem?
  18. Having been tested positive myself for Covid the day after the Preston game, I find this Curtis quote strange. I have just checked and Northern Ireland rules are the same as England's. Even if he takes a Lateral Flow Test on Saturday night and he's positive, then that is Day Zero. The earliest he can be out of isolation is Day 6 assuming that this day (Friday) and Day 5 (Thursday) produce negative LFTs. This is assuming he had vaccinations. If he didn't, then he has to go 10 days isolation as per the rules. So Nahki must have done a test before playing and was negative but does a test afterwards and is positive? Our medical team obviously have protocols they must adhere by but Nahki can't train etc until Tuesday 15th at the earliest.....unless he has been vaccinated all the time.
