Son in law got me tickets for Jethro Tull in april at the Colston . Well chuffed !
Slarti,
I'd double check what it says on the ticket. I'm sure the venue is called something else now. Don't accuse me of living in the past please as I'm not thick as a brick.
PS Happy New Year Slarti. I think I first met him 43 years ago (now that is a subtle pun).

Roger Bennett. Now there was a superb broadcaster. Not bad on the soprano sax either with his Blue Notes Jazz Band.

God, I’ll get my tin hat ready. I thought he was a bit loose defensively. He did some great stuff, but he got caught by quite a few long balls tonight. He’s generally the “cover” do Dickie can go tight. I thought that part of his game was a bit off tonight.
Prove it!
!
Thanks Dave for all your excellent, insightful postings in 2023.

Thanks John for posting who was at the meeting player -wise. Next time you see Sir Alan Walsh please ask to borrow his son-in-law's latest Dvd series of Frasier as I don't subscribe to Paramount+!

It's on Robins TV in the UK (as per https://bristolcitypayments.streamamg.com/account/register/step1) so that usually means the red button coverage is available too.
Afraid not. Doesn't always work like that.
There are a set number of red button games. If Sky don't choose it, it's not on.
The good news is that it is definitely on Robins TV for £10.
Watford away looks very unlikely as a red button game so Robins TV should enjoy receiving my tenner.
The basic rule of thumb for UK Robins TV is that if it isn't a 3pm Saturday game or a kick off between 3 to 5pm on that day, Robins TV can make it available. Away games are the same but at the discretion of the home club (outside the 3-5pm Saturday window).

Lots of analysis of Bryan’s goal in that. I could watch that goal over and over on a loop. It’s a thing of beauty. Great night. Football doesn’t get much better than that given the opponent, the stage of the competition and the injury time winner.
Who was the presenter and City fan?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/czkjr34r2zzoFor those that are interested about all things WW2.
A story worth telling and there is a 1 hour documentary film that crops up every so often on PBS America (originally BBC) about this lady and what happened.

That's nothing. Wait till you drive here in Norn Iron.
The road ahead in 3 miles ends with a roundabout BUT they will stay in the outside lane just so they can be ready for this lane to turn into a right hand one. What's more they will go at 50 moh in the outside which means Johnny 18 year old petrol head will demonstrate how great he is at undertaking at great speed.

First name follows the rule, the name in brackets is the one I feel was - or will become - the best footballer.

Yo know who i mean !!!!!
Hi TV Tom, I do know who you mean. And it was a bit of a dilemma but Nest Egg put it succinctly. Norman Hunter follows the rule, however in brackets I will add (Sir Gerry Gow). Whilst I had seen an occasional City match prior to the 1977/78 season, I didn't actually start supporting City until then. Consequently, using my rule Sir Gerry doesn't qualify. Please tell me we are talking about the sane player.

Alan Walsh for me.
Terry Cooper moving him down personally, the goals, the left foot, the shuffle.
No question.
Yes to all of the above.
I have just started a thread as per BristolRob's suggestion.

Thanks to BristolRob for the suggestion and Slartibartfast who started the original thread because he suggested John Galley as the best ever City player.
Who is the best player you have seen in a City shirt per decade? The only qualifying rule is that the player concerned helped the team to achieve or saved us from relegation. Whilst Jacki was probably the best player I have ever seen in a City shirt, I don't think he qualifies because of the above rule.
70s Norman Hunter
80s Sir Alan Walsh
90s Super Bob Taylor
00 Adriano Basso
10s mmmm
20s mmmm

Yes. Working at last. Pathetic by streaming company/bcfc media. Why oh why do we have to contact them St last once a month? The number of times I've offered help to at least say there's no signal prior to ko. They obviously know better.

Just written again to them. Let's see what happens.

Name a worse city game than that…

Can I say that my memory banks tried to erase all games watched under Tony Pulis. Failed.
A midweek Wrexham away game was probably the worst I have witnessed. We were lucky to get nil.
Today's was boring and not as bad as Wrexham away but it was getting there.
