  1. As said on Sky, three very poor goals conceded. Back to the drawing board.
  2. City are showing real effort and not a little skill COYR
  3. Don’t agree about lack of quality crosses. I have seen far far worse when we’ve had two genuine wingers playing. Weimann from the right and Dasilva from the left, for example, delivered as good a cross as you will see anywhere.
  4. Don’t think honestly we are playing badly. Trying to play football. Just need the run of the green and we are back init
  5. Barnsley supporters must now feel their team is without hope this season
  6. Can hardly believe it Now can we keep winning at home? I am asking very nicely,Nige
  7. But are you seeing them through rose coloured spectacles? We have to play our game and press opposition whatever they offer and ref does concentrace on our game, lads
  8. Don’t want to hear of great save by Bentley. Want to hear of a great shot from wells
  9. Don’t play for a 2-1. Because if we retreat we almost always concede
  10. Great news from Ashton Gate Keep going, lads, no backpedaling
  11. COYR You really can’t afford to lose this one. Attendances will plummet, takings decline, and the club slowly sink below the mud But don’t worry we have a rugby team at the top and a High Performance Centre.
  12. I am beginning to lose faith. Really thought NP was the answer we were looking for. Perhaps he is and it is the players who simply are passed it or not good enough or both. We are paying the price for the poor running of the club over decades.
  13. NP has identified the problems he inherited and begun to address them, ie relationship between roles of manager (not Head Coach) and CEO lack of quality in coaching staff an overhaul of players over a three year period. Already begun. fitness of players, eg unacceptable level of injuries last season halted group identity one excellent first team acquisition, Atkinson one excellent ‘one for the future’ (Pearson’s comment on Tanner signing) achieved cut in players’ wages, not least with Weimann and Baker accepting lower wages. With the limitations placed on him I believe he has achieved a great deal. Judge ‘on the field’, at next natural break, on 1 January, not after three of the most difficult fixtures of the season Believe! We will improve under Pearson but change always takes time.
  14. NP’s interview was, as usual, realistic. He looked very fed up, as well he might. I like the way he faces us to the reality. The next task is for him to raise the players’ game. I wish him well and certainly don’t envy him. We can’t expect him to make silk purses out of sows’ ears overnight. I just hope he doesn’t get so fed up that he walks.
  15. It is the way the players are losing that is the worry. Look at Brighton this evening losing at ht to Man City 3-0 at home. Looked totally outclassed. Raised their game second half and played some lovely football with passion. No more goals from City and a well taken penalty for Brighton. OK they will lose but the fight the passion the quality - all three of these missing from The City today.
  16. Bristol Sport, of course, is the wider problem - being saying it, with a few others, for years now
  17. I have been saying it for years and usually just received abuse
