  1. Thank you for your comment which I disagree with. We shall be mid table at end of season exactly as NP said at the start.
  2. Seems to me a great deal of hysteria on Otib today. We are not promotion material this season, despite some hyping it after Stoke win. We are also not relegation material. We have too much brio and too much talent for that. 1-0 away from home at ha.f time isn’t there d of the world, or the end of the afternoon eithet
  3. Great result. Great spirit and guts shown. Well done the youngsters, well done Nige Ctid
  4. Sorry to disagree, but I feel that this is a group of players playing as a team and all trying hard. Massive improvement on recent seasons, imo
  5. Stoke were clearly the better side in first 45, but we played with enthusiasm and brio. Whatever happens in next 45 we definitely have something to build on. Well done Nige in trusting the kids. Sky says Scott our best player and Benarous scores. Trust in Nige, working miracles with little to work with
  6. Great to be unchanged so as a level of consistency can hopefully be built. COYR
  7. Thanks to everyone who has responded to original post, whatever your views.
  8. The first requirement in improving the situation, which we all want, is a dose of realism as to where we are. This stat provides that.
  9. And this shows that fact in clear statistical form, that’s all
  10. Reported that Fulham have more points in championship than City in 2021 despite playing 24 fewer games. is this correct? Believe it is. Oh dear if so
  11. To my way of thinking it is impossible to continue as we are for more than a few days, and certainly no longer than a week. Why? From what we know Nige did limited amount of actual coaching more of an overview of individual players and tactics. Simpson was brought in to oversee coaching along with two assistants. Simpson now has to step up to Nige’s role, at least in part, as well as his own role. Not sustainable with only one other coach to help. We are at least one coach light, IMO.

Bottom line is we can’t continue with Assistant Manager, now filling in as stand-in manager for indefinite period whilst also acting as chief coach with help from previous u23 coach. Not sustainable or sensible in anyone’s book. The Chairman and/or the owner should tell us what their plan is or rumours will simply continue to grow, and we’ve been there before. All of which is damaging.
  13. Great but those accounts are meaningless without detailed commentary
  14. The final sentence of yours is where we have consistently failed for years. No easy way to put this right. Local lads signing for clubs outside the city, poor to non existent signing from non league, clear failings in development of players we do have.
  15. Steady! The club can make an overall statement on financial position without attaching figures to it. They can also address the important question of why we are in this position.. Sad to say this is another illustration of the owner and his son’s contempt of the fans. As for reducing prices this is a normal response to encourage more people at lower cost but achieving same income goal. Used it myself with good outcome in a multi million pound public institution. But above everything else we need these two men to acknowledge their key role in our decline and indicate the steps they intend to take to rectify this; but this assumes they are serious about success for City, as opposed to rugby club et al. I remain unconvinced that they are truly concerned about City being in league 1.
  16. Remember a birthday party on board The Flying Fox in early ‘50s. Passed it when getting to Ashton Gate to watch some proper old fashioned blood and guts football. Ernie Peacock acting like a demented boxer and Big John, literally, rising above them all. Oh, how I miss that City of my childhood - both the club and the city itself.
  17. Sadly the entire infrastructure of football in England needs radical reform, which it is unlikely to get. At our level we are likely to see a severe drop in attendances over the next decade which will of itself necessitate change. The top league may split into two but whatever happens it will become divorced from the rest of the football pyramid; perhaps even being promotion and relegation restricted to Premier League A and B Not to worry I am happy down here in Sussex to watch the progress of Worthing led by a young owner and an experienced manager. Football played without mega bucks at a very acceptable Isthmian League standard, and no car park full of the players’ expensive cars!
  18. What won’t happen but should is something I have advocated on Otib for years, namely a thorough outside audit of the club from top to bottom and side to side. If this was done a way forward at all levels could be mapped out, and a plan set in place. Truth is this club is badly run and has been for decades
  19. Next 6 games; it is the next two that will either resolve the crisis or bring it to decision time.
  20. In fairness Fleming’s post match comments were 100% what any one of us would have said. So credit to him for that.
  21. ‘Poor Performance’. Rather an understatement I would suggest
