No we can’t.  We haven’t broken FFP, nor will we for the cycle ending 2021/22 (this season).

We could be over in the cycle ending 2022/23, but we have 9, 12, 15 months to clear what is likely to be a small amount over £39m.  Certainly not minus 9….nowhere near that.

It will help if us Bristolians buy up all them season tickets when they are for sell. Give our bank balance a big boost. Can you imagine with Covid practically gone, 90% or more season tickets sold and the ground pretty full with a really good side we appear to have. Exciting or what.

Great player but don’t call 24 that young for a footballer, sorry if that sounds pedantic but I’m a big fan of the lad. AW miss was worse in first half to be honest

He's young in terms of experience not age.

    Exactly.

Kalas is vital to us, Pring was said to be our stand out performer last week & Vyner had one of his best games of the season v Millwall, so always likely he would drop back out.

Not when he handked Mitrovic pretty well last week. Should of let him man mark the striker with Kalas as backup.

I’d rather we played Scott (and Benarous) behind the front 2 (more natural position) rather than wing back, especially away at Fulham. With Tanner’s injury, I think the best option would be Vyner at RWB. Pring has been playing well and I think COD has done OK at LWB. I’d keep Atkinson in. I usually prefer Kalas in the middle but with two left footers in the back 3, I’d have him RCB.  I’d start with this:

                       O’Leary

             Kalas  Atkinson  Pring

     Vyner  Massengo James  O’Dowda

                        Scott

             Semenyo  Weimann

Or move Massengo out wide instead of Vyner and slot King into the middle.

I liked how we set up against QPR 433, 2 sitting midfield players, one more advanced attacking midfielder with a front 3 alternating up top and when wide the wide players keeping wide when they are out there.

James and King sitting in Deep with Scott more advanced and pulling the strings.

Semenyo, Weimann and O’Dowda up top, who have all looked back to their best, O’Dowda is much better in a forward position than out wide in a 352 and that has been proven when he’s in a more attacking role.

in defence I would have Kalas and Atkinson CB with Vyner and Pring full backs.

                  O’Leary

    Vyner Kalas Atkinson Pring

           James Scott king

    Weimann Semenyo  O’Dowda

    Might change Massengo for King.

    Dasilva on the right?

    ******* hell.

O’Dowda appears to be the new scapegoat for the OP now he’s realised just how ludicrous his anti-Weimann posts were getting.

Have to admit I couldn't get my head round DaSilva on the right. He's totalling left footed. Looked a bit awkward. But did ok. Wondered why he didn't use Vyner.

Agree. I fall into that camp. I didn’t go on Saturday either due to the Omicron risks and not wanting to risk elderly family. The rates of Omicron in London are even higher so I won’t be risking train travel and a match there. Shame as Fulham is my favourite away day. Hopefully the eventual data on Omicron in the New Year turns out to be more positive though - especially re boosters.

We all have to be careful. Do what I do which is to put my mask on when I get to the Atyeo statue and take it off when I sit in my seat in the Dolman. Then vica versa when the game is over. No problems so far and I feel relaxed and safe at the match.

Do you mean better today, or better when Bryan was here?

Better today definately. As for when Bryan was here? Memorys a bit shite but Bryan did used to get forward at pace. Think Pring has the edge for pace with both but he looks a better defender to me. Prings close control is better aswell. If we had more movement upfront who could drag the opposition out of the way Pring would go through those gaps. He's one I look forward to watching as is young Scott.

  8. Pring was superb today. Has such scorching pace and just glides past the opposition. I think there is more to come from him aswell.  Does he know how good he is? Whether he plays left of a back 3 or left wing back, he's here to stay. Exciting to watch. Would like him to have a shot on goal at the end of some of his mazy runs. Had one only today. Definately better than Joe Bryan.

Unless you know of the precise details of every case then it really could be anything.

Could just be that these incidents are getting reported more. Each one that happens increases interest in the next, interest snowballs as people start to think something's going on.

Could be because more games are televised, and reportedly on, you notice it more.

Could be that where they used to be dealt with in the carpark, they're now done pitchside.

Could be that there's more cokeheads at football now and they are having issues.

Could be a result of the increasing average age of a football fan coupled with decreased fitness (obesity, lower activity levels etc) in society.

Could just be a weirdly dense frequency of these things following a freakishly quite period.

Could be none of the above.

    It's probably nothing.

It certainly wouldn't be down to excitement at Ashton Gate. More likely stress.
