Don’t see why you’d have to hand your phone around. Adult gets child’s ticket up on phone and scans it and child walks through. Adult then gets his/her ticket up on same phone, scans it at walks though him/herself. Precisely the same process as when I book train tickets for more than one person on my phone and we go though the barriers - the phone doesn’t leave my hand as I scan each person through.

Exactly what I do and never an issue at the train station, but I guess everybody has their own process. Maybe others hadn’t thought of this way and will give it a try next time?

I see they have announced their season ticket prices for next year.  7% increase may be too much to bear for some of them and their season card fanbase may drop below the meagre 5k they have at the moment.

Imagine having to spend all that money to sit in a bloody tent every other week with a dirty bunch of hobos watching a convict and wife beater managing that load of dross.

Anyone know how many of them manage to get in on each ticket nowadays?

Has Dave on the disabled gate increased his prices to reflect the official price rise, or would the faffing with change be a hindrance to the necessary ‘swift’ transaction?

Coventry bought up stocks from the administrators, not sure there were stocks of ours to buy up, that may have allowed them to see out the season.  That partnership (Sportspro/Hummel) must be fairly new, or I missed it. I did search to see but hadn't seen anything, the Cov announcement was the first mention I could see.
I think City just lost confidence in Hummel , they have potentially lost a lot of sales (this time not their fault) .
Plus it could be a better deal.

Yes, I wondered if the new supplier tried to change the terms and conditions and make them worse for us.

They didn't want it anyway as not enough parking for them! ?

Chris Brown has put on Facebook that Conygar are no longer interested in building a stadium at FM site.

Not too unhappy as always felt it is a rubbish location to get to.

South Gloucestershire council are Pro us, there must be a bit of land available that we can use.

We need plenty of parking, and let the fans drink in a stadium bar to maximise revenue.

They seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of the drink drive rules

Some good lines on the Burton forum:

Damn I forgot we were playing Barca.

I saw his autobiography in Poundland! Tells you all you need to know… I wonder when he’s bringing out his updated version.

    Oh dear, old Joey's fuming.

Well what a game! Good 3 points and getting one over that loudmouth Scouse thug... fantastic!

Have that Joey you *insert rude word of choice here*

Who on earth would pay to watch Brizzle, eh?

He deserves being badmouthed - just as I said getting his excuses in early. What a plonker.

I'd rather us come up against Fat Steve 46 times a season than encounter that horrible little scouse goblin again.

    “Horrible little scouse goblin” ???

So if I read this correctly he is claiming that they are looking to have a new stand in place for the start of next season at the Alton/Downend Rd side of the ground?

We are already more than halfway through February, plus the new season will presumably start on August 5th.

What sort of structure could you possibly create in that timeframe? As the tented stuff there at present would have to be dismantled, too?

This is going to be another shit temporary structure, isn’t it?

Has to be doesn’t it, unless planning permission has suddenly become a swift, efficient well oiled machine. Oh…. hold on, don’t they have previous of not applying for that. Best keep quiet ?

FINALLY, an admission that there isn’t “a blue half” of Bristol.

I expect he is already banned.

    Bless.

Apparently, having more away fans would give them a higher average attendance.

I don't think they get it, do they

    https://gaschat.co.uk/thread/20749/potential-attendance

Just had a read of that. Unbelievably they are talking of government grants and levelling up money. “Hi govt, we are a shit lower league football team, and would like some levelling up money to make us better than Bristol City.”

Govt replies. “You sponging bastards **** off and ask your multi billionaire owner to sell his watch or something.”

The Bristol Live reporting of this is incredible. They really think he is some sort of tactical genius, when all he is talking about is hitting long balls.

    https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/joey-barton-quarterbacks-feeding-frontline-8134713

Well it sounds suspiciously like Route 1 to me if only a tactics board had been available in “that particular room”.

Anyway the tactical genius is setting himself up for a massive fail as a lot of the oval shape created by “a 12m radius of the half way line” will mean that our courageous and Wiley sags will have ran the ball out of play for a throw in.

Re: Left Handed Giant, I'd recommend getting the Bristol Ferry (if during the day) as one of the stops is opposite the LHG and you can walk over the bridge. The ferry is a great way of getting around and seeing the site, especially if you come down by train to Temple Meads or are staying in the centre, have fun!  https://www.bristolferry.com/waterbus/

You need to check it’s running these days though. Since lockdown it’s been a lot more sporadic than before but their Twit feed is usually pretty accurate with what they are doing.

Seems they are thinking about putting up another temporary stand (stop sniggering at the back).

This one is to run the width of the pitch behind a goal, it'll be massive apparently, row M and everything.

In order to raise the capacity (I said stop sniggering at the back).

It couldn't be as tinpot as the new family "stand".................could it ?

We’re not at the back. We’re stood at the front as the back didn’t exist.

The Bible isn't for everyone, but sometimes it just nails things. Joey the intellectual probably already knows this.

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."

    — Matthew 7:24–27

I respectfully disagree. There is nothing great about that club, so I suspect the house built on sand in North Bristol will fall with the merest of whimpers.

    8429, **** me.

    Tinpot.

Barton isn’t fit to clean Cotts’ shoes.

8429? I thought it was an absolute sell out which is why they wouldn’t do pay on the day. Imagine any other owner apart from the billionaire nice man Wally would be pretty upset about losing out on revenue?‍♂️

It’s kicking off between them and MK. Who do I believe? The franchise club who, although immoral, are honestly so, or the club who lie about their Wembley crowds and employ felons as their management team.

    Tough call.

******* idiots think it should be dealt with in private so MK fans travel, unaware that they won’t be able to buy tickets. ********.
