Still think he should be Number 1 here, wasn't long ago he was player of the season

Is that what’s happened here, I’ve lost track TBH? Didn’t know if this was a Pearson falling out or not signing a contract problem.

Is it really down to that or has Max overtaken Bentley as a keeper? Bentley only seemed to go long for distribution whereas O’Leary can mix it up, also O’Leary seems better at claiming crosses

I thought we paid 4m for Bentley. However who cares.

Im not sure we would bring in another keeper in the short term. We have Harvey to sit on the bench with a year left on his contract and unless someone tells me differently with a goalkeeper crisis we can get an emergency loan.

Think Pearson said if Bentley goes then we’ll replace him. Wouldn’t feel comfortable in case MOL gets an injury

I agree with this in general. However the run from midfield for their goal was not tracked. (Which got on my nerves) However we look so much better this way!

Yeah with you on that actually, thought the marking was poor on Dack aswell though

  4. Really like how we have it setup at the moment. Naismith and James sits deeper allowing Scott the freedom to link up with the front 3. Thought Naismith and James were excellent yesterday, Naismith was personally my man of the match with the passes he was able to pull off and duels he won in midfield

He was certainly at his most miserable best on the radio Bristol interview after the game. I always look forward to listening to what he has to say about the game when I'm driving home,  but sometimes like yesterday he just doesn't want to play.

By the way I am a Pearson fan before anyone starts.

He was very adamant it was a penalty, similarly thought the linesman was very out of line. Although I thought Bell was just off

I thought we should have brought him on post the red card. Naismith and James were working fine, but Blackburn sat deep and we needed the extra speed/energy/impetus.

Agree, came on in both FA Cup games and done brilliant. Definitely worth a shot for me

Not sure if this has been on here, but it's funny anyway.
An up and down season described by a fan who sees only black and white. Be great if he followed a lower League team.

WARNING : Bad language alert for you sensitive types.

See a load of the same fans about now, overreact when they win and overreact for they lose. Embarrassing what you do for views and attention

...I can call him that 'cos I went to school with him!

Anyway, it's been an absolute privilege having Richard Gould in charge at Bristol City, and I'm gutted he's going.

He’s done a good job to steady the ship, wish him well. Looking forward to seeing how Alexander approaches things, more of a football man that’s for sure

Great interview. I’m still 100% behind him. But the Swansea bit near the end I absolutely loved. Go on Nige

Whether you rate him or not, I can’t see him going anywhere any time soon and the players are still clearly behind him. I’m undecided whether I’m Pearson in or not but one thing we need to do is get behind the club which we 100% did today

    Yeah, 1 game!

    Against Northern Ireland.

You make him sound like the next Hugo Lloris. Or that bald **** Perez. Which he ain't.

He's played virtually all his career in the French second division - all of 40 games in 5 years, mind Wow. What's the standard of the French 2nd Division, you reckon?

And we signed him from a football club no-one's heard of, in a town where rugby union rules the roost.

So "very highly rated" by whom, exactly?

He's a punt. A punt Cisse stumbled across while networking - who knows if Kalifa's been sold a lemon or the next....yeah, I can't think of any other decent French keepers either.

Good luck to the lad, though. He might turn out better than O'Leary. The bar's not exactly high.

Apologies late to the party but this is such a strange post to me.

Bajic has not spent 5 years in the French 2nd tier he has just spent half a season and even if he had we brought in Kodjia from a team in the same league and he turned out to be a huge success.

He is also 21 years old which is incredibly young for a keeper so has many years to grow, and you seem to be writing him off already for some strange reason.

I’ll admit O’Leary was not good enough last season when he came in but he looks a much improved keeper this year, especially with collecting crosses something Bentley has always struggled with. For me he’s more than good enough right now.

1v1s is the only attribute I see Bentley as being  better at, and O’Leary isn’t too bad at those either.

Fair enough.   Not sure Wolves or Palace or Bournemouth would do that though. They’d want him available - at least on the bench - immediately you would’ve thought.  Spurs types possibly but not seen them genuinely linked recently.

Wolves have definitely done it before but that was at teams lower than us in fairness.

That's a very strong line up. Wasn't expecting that.

I'm guessing the likes of Kadji, King, Taylor Clarke, Williams, Sykes, DaSilva, Bell will all be Subs against Brum.

Doubt Taylor-Clarke and Kadji will be, they were only there on the weekend because we could have two more subs

If you think King is too old to play in this game, wait till you see Cardiff are playing Tom Jones!

I do not know how accurate this information is. But I heard off a fellow red today. That there is a demonstration against Nigel Pearson planned for Saturday's game.

Strikes me as not needed and crazy. We need to show unity at present.

Saw stuff about this about half an hour after our Boxing Day game with West Brom. I can understand people can’t see Pearson as the right man but this is incredibly tinpot. We simply need to pick up wins and that starts by getting behind the team
