Surely Farke will be the next sacked.

I doubt it. Norwich seem very content to win promotion to the Prem, spend no money, get relegated, bank the parachute payment, get promoted etc, etc.

Sacked all three of his coaches too, what a massive waste of money.

They should go and get Graham Potter now, but they won't.

If approached Potter shouldn't touch it with a 10ft barge pole while Valdemort (sorry Levy) holds the purse strings. He'd need more than wizardry to turn it around.

Didn`t we get two at Stoke? Nathan Jones as well as Gary Rowett? I think there`s been one or two others in recent years too.

I've a feeling that's 2 for Barnsley as well. I seem to recall a previous manager got the push some years back, might have been the manager at the time if our 4-1 win at Oakwell with a Roberts hat-trick (but I could be wrong)

  4. I said earlier in this thread that it was tough for him today and in interview he thought he could have done better, but the club and more importantly the management feel that he is a level headed young man who will only learn from his experience. They certainly seem to have more faith in him, and Scott and Bell, than they do in Palmer and Vyner who can't make the bench.

  5. Not exactly sure how we held on for the win. I was nervous every time they got a corner. We could have made it easier for ourselves particularly if Bakinson showed more strength given his size and if Wells had threatened the goal more than he did the south stand Heineken sign but perhaps winning a game in this manner is just what we need. Massengo the Magnificent gets the nod for Mom for me.

  6. I don't usually complain about officials as its an arduous no win job but today's 3 were appalling. There's letting the game flow and then there's letting the game flow. Some of the play the officials let go today would be classed as common assault if on the streets of Bedminster. Harder to comment on the offside decisions as I sit in the south stand and therefore not in line but its fair to say some looked very dodgy indeed.

  7. A 2nd defeat of the season but some valuable experience gained against a much more senior QPR side so not all bad. We missed someone who could run past the opposition today. No Ayman Benarous (perhaps he will be on the bench Saturday) and we didn't get Marlee Francois into the game.

  8. I wonder why we don't use James Morton as an over age player in these games. He obviously has no long term future at City but why not get some game time from him while he remains under contract. By putting him in some sort of shop window it could only help us to move him on.

We have been completely overwhelmed by both Bournemouth and West brom sides putting in 3rd gear performances within a week of each other with Fulham looking considerably better than us and us only looking competitive through maximum effort.

Are parachute payments making more of a gap than ever before, are they now a guarantee of finishing in the top 6 rather than a very big helping hand?

Parachute payments clearly make a difference but its not the parachute payment per se that presents a problem but that the EFL allow the payments to be used for other than they were intended. The purpose of the payments was to ensure clubs relegated from the Prem could meet their current contract commitments. They were never meant to be used for new contracts or as an additional transfer slush fund. The parachute payment should be a one off payment based on the valuation of current contract commitments, not spread over several years. If the three relegated clubs receive different amounts because of their contract commitment so be it.

    An insult to who?

To Gerrard. People always jibe at Scotland being a 2 horse race but is Germany any different. Its Bayern Munich and a n other. Quite frankly though I couldn't give a damn who gets the Newcastle job.

Proper football kit that! No fuss, no pretension, the real deal.

Purple and lime with pin-stripes? Like a pair of girls' pyjamas.. No bloody thanks!

Yeah when City resurrected the Purple & Lime it was the girls in the office that really liked it. Good as reason as any though for the lads to buy it.

Gordon Parr, Jantzen Derrick, Mike Gibson, Gerry Sweeney, Sir Geoff Merrick, Tom Ritchie, Paul Cheesley, Trevor Tainton, Clive Whitehead, Mickey Tanner, Alan Walsh, Scotty Murray and (gatecrasher) David Mogg who was not in the book. Alan Dicks, Marina Dolman, Phil Tottle, and Nigel Turner were also present alongside author Richard Latham.

I forgot Gary Owers and Chris Honor.

ps what the **** is “the football content award”, can I make my own award show for favourite laces?

psps looks like a community club hall with a load of random middle aged men. I applaud the effort but prestige this is not.

I don't know what it is either. There seems to be an award for anything these days as I understand the SAGS are favourites for the best tent on the terraces award.
