Trend shows that over the last 10 years 100%+ more have watched City than The Gas!!!!!!
Good work Adamski. So, the conclusion is that they aren't 'coming for us' at all and we are further in front than we've ever been. their crowds are historically about half of ours and, no doubt, even less than that over the last couple of years. We're averaging around 19,000 since the rebuild aren't we so they're at 37% of our current support?
Can't beat solid facts although they probably will try.
OTIB.

They can look on the bright side that they're not Swindown town I guess. What's that now, last 2 home games, 1-7 on aggregate?
We really do not have ANY local competition.

Also makes me wonder how we did 9 (I think it was) consecutive seasons in It!
R*vers were dreadful today and, if that's their normal standard, fair play to those that watch it. I really enjoy watching Championship football, it's a really good standard.
Thankfully, we're not in that god awful division anymore.

Watching their game didn't half make me appreciate the Championship. Some of the 'defending' was comical, especially for the Bantams 2nd goal, the bloke had the freedom of their penalty area. If we defended like like, I think I would vomit!

Good to see Miagsy posting on here. I know him from another forum and he's a decent poster, especially for a gashead, always level headed and good humored.
Good on you Miagsy. I did join the gas forum at one time but was banned after a couple of days once they worked out I was a 'ted.

So the payment to acquire the land was made by the Bristol Rovers 1888 company by drawing down upon the RCF secured upon The Memorial Ground.
But the ownership rests with another company controlled by the al qadis and not with BRFC who actually paid for it.
They're hollowing out the Rovers into a debt laden shell with no assets; one of these days they'll take the Mem to settle the RCF.
Hey ho; Twerton would still take some tenants.
Top research Bert.
Surely trumpton wouldn't pass the regs nowadays? It was a shithole in the 90s!

So the OP on that thread wanted his fellow Gasheads to provide him with some away support statistics to prove how much better their away support is and nobody could actually come up with anything that wasn't either made up or irrelevant.
Funny that.
Indeed, the fact that our away support average is higher, as usual, doesn't seem to make the op stop. Maybe it's gas numeracy or something?
'Mention 1982'? I'm so hurt by that (NOT) but think 2015 was better!

A bit far, mate.
Really? It was meant with humour. I actually follow the bloke on youtube.
Maybe the new, 'I'm offended by everything world' is something I thought OTIB had seen through? If you're genuinely offended by a picture, a PICTURE I despair.
PC gone mad! i'm back to reading only.
Oh yeah, Johnson out!

As long as they are playing Mangadoo or Brislington competitively that is fine with me.
At least they would get their derby matches back!

Could someone explain this to me? It has so many flaws I can't even start. Who would own the pikeys for a start? By this post, are they really advocating being homeless and penniless again?
'Here's an option. SL builds and pays for the UWE and leases it to BRFC. Dwane Sports sell The Mem, repays their own loans, pocket the rest and say goodbye.'

That don't work, hope they kept the receipt.
Maybe they haven't paid for them, just like the fence?

Reading their forum, I'm surprised that so many of them are totally missing the point of a redevelopment. It's not about making things more comfy for the supporters although that goes hand in hand with redevelopment, it's about corporate non match day revenues and increasing the turnover of their horrible club. Hiring their crappy little social club out for wedding parties on alternate Saturdays is no longer enough.
As long as they don't have these sort of available revenues, they will never be able to compete, financially, at their current level let alone ours without incurring debt.
Actually, I'm not surprised they are missing the point, it's to be expected I guess.

Watching on TV the "highlights" of their drubbing by Posh, I noticed, for the first time, just how very close the neighbouring houses are to the Tent End, in which the away fans are located. It's pretty much in "Please can we have our ball back territory".
As can be seen from the attached overhead, it really will make very complex and costly, any attempt that they make to turn their current tip into a cosy new build. (Nice, even stripes on the pitch btw!)
Couldn't they just knock down the crappy terrace on the left and shift it that way? It's not like the stands are full length or anything. That would give them room I should think.
-
I reckon they will end up with something crap like this although how they pay for it is anyones' guess!
Standing at either end and they've got their cosy little 12K stadium.

Are we having a Birthday party for the Gap? Hire a Venue, get a big screen to show the Ancient footage of the last league meeting between us and the 15ers.
Have you still got a betamax video recorder then?

With all respect gashead2017, my son takes his driving test on Monday and he knows you're shit but you haven't EVER been on his horizon as you're not good enough to keep up with us. He pertains to understand the rivalry but how can he?
You're gone mate.

Bath rovers and we would be the OTIB. I like that!
-
Can anyone say any reason why we would say 'yes' to them using our beautiful stadium?
I can't think of one reason why we would advocate it.
While they're down, put the boot in is my opinion. F##K them!

All this talk about planning, JR's etc.
They haven't got a pot to piss in
Just read a thread on their forum about opening up an old railway station to ease congestion on match days. Guess what? They want the council to pay for it!
All these grand ideas are fine but they plain haven't got any money by the look of it so naff all will get done.

It won't be that straightforward
I agree. Look how we had to jump through hoops really parking etc. They're in a far worse position than we were IMHO. Just because they can build to 17/18k doesn't mean they would be allowed to.
As to using the Gate, I would hope the 2nd word in reply to any request is 'off'!

Ha ha ha . No other option but to share Ashton gate . Have a read . Priceless reading
What thread is that from? I try not to spend too much time on their forum as I feel dirty afterwards.
-
I did notice that he said 'nice modern stadium' rather than the previous 'world class'.
I don't think they will get it but it sounds more like a Shrewsbury flat pack job than something like the mighty Gate.
That interview would have me very concerned if I were a sag, luckily I'm not so can enjoy the debacle!

How any gas head has the cheek to call ANY ground, even Twerton Park, "an embarrassment of a stadium" shows just how deluded they must be as they drag their knuckles along Gloucester Road, on their way to Chernobyl..!
To be fair to Mike Jay, he's a decent bloke, shit taste in football clubs mind. He ran Deerswood juniors for years when my lad and a friends lad were playing. One of lifes gentlemen TBH although a diehard gashead. He has written books about their history, warts and all.

Didn't some clever spark do the away figures a while back that proved their away support is shite compared to ours?
They really don't have a lot going for them do they? Do I feel any sorrow for them? Do I ****!!!
GROUND - CITY
TEAM - CITY
OWNER - CITY as their bloke has put naff all in and taken the 'club' to the brink of going broke while ours has put plenty in.
STANDARD - CITY
SUPPORT - CITY
Poor lambs, NOT!
A question, as there are obviously loads of sheeds at their games intent on making them look bad, what's their real attendance figure?
