  1. A blonde heard that baths in milk would make her beautiful. She left a note for her milkman to leave 25 gallons of milk.

When the milkman read the note, he felt there must be a mistake. He thought she probably meant 2.5 gallons.

So he knocked on the door to clarify the point.

The blonde came to the door and the milkman said, "I found your
note asking me to leave 25 gallons of milk.

    Did you mean 2.5 gallons?"

    The blonde said,
"No, I want 25 gallons. I'm going to fill my bathtub up with milk and take a milk bath so I can look young and beautiful again."

The milkman asked, "Do you want it pasteurized?"

    Wait for it

    The blonde said,
"No, just up to my tits ...
I can splash it on my eyes if I need to!"

    :)

Remember being determined to outshout Rovers fans when Hi ho silver lining always came on as as the last record of the night -'I see Paul Cheesley's scoring' - and more than once the rivalry continuing in more physical fashion while walking up the slope afterwards.

There was always a 'row' going up that slope IIRC Noggers!

I remember we used to share our annual school 6th form party, with La Retraite girls school, at Tiffanies and anyone from the 4th year up somehow managed to get in. Being a rugby school ( the real St Brendans, not the crappy imitation 6th form it is now), there was usually a drunken scrummage against the palm trees and they usually came second!

    Happy memories.

Actually it's from HIGSNFY (Have I got stadium news for you) and the programme, which is due to go out next decade, will reveal the source of finance for our new ground.

The deal was brokered by an old tote ender currently residing in China who has had a complete gender make over but in true 1970's style  still insists on wearing a Rovers banner wrapped around his neck. If you look closely you will see he even has the "Tiffany's" entrance stamp showing on the back of his hand.

Tiffany's? Crikey, there's a blast from the past! Plastic palm trees, sticky carpets and harp lager were the order of the day at the time IIRC?

That's a long time ago.

  4. A blonde goes into work crying her eyes out. The boss asks if she is ok she replies "No my mum died this morning" The Boss suggests she takes the day off to which the blonde refuses saying that work will take her mums demise off her mind... About an hour later The Boss walks into her office and once again she is crying like a woman peeling onions ... He said "I told you to take the day off to get over your sudden loss" .... "It's Not that" replied the blonde " I just phoned my sister and her mum has died as well"

  5. I know a methane snorter who actually went to our game on Sunday. To say he was blown away by the new Gate is a massive understatement. While he will always defend his club and thought they were a better team / fans than us (usual drivel), he openly admitted the stadium was a 'different world'. 'If the (pie in the sky) UWE is anything like this, we'll be doing ok' was met by choruses of laughter but, rest assured, he was very complimentary about the whole stadium experience.

He was in the West upper BTW, not with me in the Dolman.

Bloke in work who claims to know people associated with the blue few reckons they'll be targeting Devante Cole in the summer as their replacement for Taylor.

Not the most prolific of players, but he's quick and I'd imagine that if he gets enough chances he'd be a regular goal scorer.

He hasn't seen the Azteca de Mem yet though! Imagine his old man showing him the completed Gate and saying 'I played there, at St James and Old Trafford' then taking him to the Mem where he can look at a nice picture while sat in a tent? At least the carpets will be clean I guess. ;)

How to totally piss off a young player in one day!

I like the #gaslogic applied to their fan accounting skills.

We got 300k for Taylor, and we made similar from the game against Chelsea so there is money available!!

Err, no there isn't. Your break even figure exceeds the capacity of your ground, and the monies generated from an away game and a player sale will go towards reducing your losses. Just because this is extra money, it doesn't mean it sits there willing to be spent.

Applying #gaslogic would mean that most people have savings calculated on the difference between their credit limit and their current balance, conveniently forgetting they don't actually have that money because it isn't theirs.

What was it? Debts of 10mil?

That was in the year up to June 2016 wasn't it? Probably more now. :)

First and foremost - I felt genuinely disappointed for the travelling city fans last night , also like another Preston fan offered a chin up it will be ok speech after the game as we walked back to the car and went on own ways , they didn't look angry just embarrassed and as I  got to my car after a 5-0 win I tried to remember a worse second half display from a side at Deepdale in my 40 + years of going on , as at today Im not sure Ive seen a side roll over and not give a dam ( barring maybe 2/3 players ) and clearly not playing for the manager , being outplayed ( seen that a lot ! ) is one thing , not trying is inexcusable as a professional in any walk of life and despite walking away the game it wasn't pleasant  even as a Preston fan , to see a tremendous club have to see that was and should not be allowed - Im staggered as to how he's still in charge today in honesty , not an ounce of gloating from me would have posted however the game turned out and I see no point in going through the game other than to say Ive seen some shockers from Preston sides getting hammered 6-0 and 7-4 spring to mind but not seen that many players not give a dam , full credit to Tammy and what it goes to prove is how valuable a manager is in motivating players , tactics , team spirt over price tags - nothing more evident last night than Barkhuizen a free form Morecambe and McGeady/Tomlin and worst of all for me the worst performance Ive ever seen Bailey Wright put in - he's not that bad a player , disappointed that he left but all his confidence looks gone and the taunting was petty and childish from our supporters for a player who gave it 100% every time I saw him play in a Preston shirt - not sure I could say that in the second half last night .... had the Huddersfield pre game to base my judgement on and never thought relegation was an issue despite results for you with that squad but having seen Blackburn , Notts Forest and yourselves in the last three games you look doomed unless Johnson is fired and an interim put in charge and with the fixtures left you survive IMO but not with a squad who threw the towel in last night ....

All the best for the rest of the season , can offer no words of sympathy but hope I see you at Ashton game next season in the Championship , travesty if not

Thanks Mortis. Good luck to you and PNE fella.

Apparently quite the kerfuffle yesterday, with the Chairmans office and its surrounds sealed off as the negotiations got the critical stage.

Something with substance will soon be announced, but as ever, the devil will be in the detail.

I'm assuming they've found a way around the 'you cannot buy the land' issue then? That land was 'gifted' by Hewlett Packard IIRC but couldn't be sold. Is that right?

Hi Ska , in fairness whilst we have had a superb season and Grayson is building a really good team with a blend of experience , youth and pace which we have missed , the areas of concern for me ahead of tonights game is we have three fullbacks out injured and have had for a period and playing Clarke at F/B whilst he is a club legend , the lack of pace and the gap exploited by Assombalonga is ready made for Abraham IMO , we also haven't found the right mix in recent matches to partner Pearson in midfield but the return of Gallagher is a huge plus for us and then other than McGeady ( and hes the key player for us and has been Premiership quality for months ) we don't have goals in us with Hugill looking very jaded , Robinson a little of the pace and still I keep seeing that 4-0 Huddersfield Town performance and knowing tonight we be a stern test regardless of your position / display at Brentford ....

That was our best / only display in months fella. I really wouldn't worry. Tammy is very, very good but we don't give him any type of service. As for fullbacks, what are they? We play midfielders in both fullback positions. McGeady, with his pace and movement, will have a field day up against Flinty and Bailey Wright.

You've really go nothing to worry about, we're a pale shadow of the team we were. Good players certainly but totally devoid of any leadership whatsoever. You will see lots of pointing and shrugging of shoulders from our lot as they don't seem to know what they are supposed to be doing.

    It really IS that bad!

Cannot help but feel you will get at least a point tonight , my last day in work today for 2 weeks so a great start will be under the floodlights at Deepdale tonight , 1-1 has been my gut feeling all week but 2-1 either way would not surprise me in the slightest , anyway enjoy the game for those travelling and watching on the tele at your place and hopefully see you next season

Hi Mortis, CIU from your forum here.

You are overestimating us mate, it should be a very comfortable home win. We won't spoil your holidays, at least I certainly don't expect us to.
