  1. Suarez's misery at full time is one of the happiest moments of this entire world cup for me, revenge is a dish best served cold after his handball in the 120th minute 2010 WC that denied Ghana a place in the last four.
  2. That's going to be a lot of stops for recharging, that is the thing that at the moment really puts me off EVs that and the amount you could end up spending on food and coffees in places whilst you wait an hour to recharge, a lot to be said for popping in the petrol station 4 mins later on your way, my car does at least 60mpg on a run and in theory I could do Bristol to Aberdeen easily on one tankful (not that I would ever be able to do that without many comfort stops at my age ).
  3. With the sale of new ICE cars being stopped after 2030 and now older cars being charged to drive in towns it is really beginning to look like the government are trying to price a large percentage of the population off the roads. I mean how is the average man or woman going to come up with the money to buy an electric car I know there will be second hand ones available by then but have you seen the price of replacement batteries? the sort of cars working class people will be able to afford the batteries will be coming to the end of there useful life.
  4. He's either doing it just because he really loves to play or he is skint. I was watching the big match revisited the other day and was surprised to see players playing in second and even third division matches that had once been very famous top flight internationals like Nobby Stiles and Bobby Charlton who were playing for Preston who were then in the old third division, nowadays players even in the Championship are payed so much that unless they are daft with money they don't have to drop down the divisions as they get older and if they do on the rare occasion it's because of their love of the game not because they have to, another thing players in the 60s and 70s did when they finished playing was open a sports shop, can you imagine that happening today?
  5. Diesel I presume as petrol cars that age are exempt. If so why not just part exchange it or sell it and buy a petrol car of similar value I mean a car from 2006/ 2010 shouldn't cost too much then you can drive around and not have to pay the charge.
  6. Are you sure? I thought only petrol cars built 2006 onwards were exempt.
  7. I somehow think you have misunderstood the post.
  8. You should have watched BBC breakfast this morning my god did they ever go on Wales this Wales that.
  9. And exactly how long should the tournament be? it's already nearly a month and already that seems an eternity, yes in the summer under a normal schedule we could fit it in but clubs are already complaining the season is too long.
  10. Said exactly the same thing live, some people including my own brother expect miracles we were proved right in the end though.
  11. Not sure whether Holland or Senegal would be any easier having watched both games. I suppose it depends on which England turn up , have you ever thought that watching city seems to mirror our national team you never know which team will turn up?
  12. Depending on the results in group A this afternoon it might be beneficial to finish second in our group, surely England wouldn't be tempted to settle for a draw against Wales, would they?
  13. Now that was pathetic. I was hoping all that sort of carry on was firmly in the past but there are a new breed of idiot that seem to have sprung up.
  14. Did not realise Serbia were an ally of Russia, so that's me supporting anyone that plays them then.
  15. And the award for most non pc post of the day goes to.
  16. So a team that got to the semi finals of the last world cup and the FINAL of the euro only last year is not by the fans expected to beat a team many places below us in the world rankings is embarrassing really?
  17. Oh come on, really? admit it you knew that was a empty gesture and have given in to your natural instincts to watch the games.
  18. As a summing up not sure I could better that, really in football confidence is key and tonight we lacked that and well we all saw what happened, let's hope that the penny finally drops and they realise that they don't have to just turn up against teams that are so called below them because Argentina and Germany found out to there cost that it can be fatal to under estimate the opposition.
