Trouble is that would be an admission the tannoy is not fit for purpose a good idea though.

I'm really really hoping we win Sat, and you know what? what is the last thing all the pundits and so called experts and if we are honest most of us on here expect? and yes we will do the exact opposite because that's what we do.

Are we the biggest underachievers in British football?

We achieved nothing in the end though did we,, heroic failures the game is littered with them. -
Oh come on I've been hearing the we can rebuild and challenge next year bullshit every year since longer than I care to remember, and as for what is the point well why not? whatever the excuses that keep being trotted out if we carry on like this relegation looks a very likely scenario, personally I would at least like us to try something different it is broke and I would like us to at least try and fix it and before anyone inevitably says well who else I don't know who but surely there is somebody out there who could do better because they could hardly do much worse could they.

It is just possible a fresh perspective different tactics and team selection might just improve us, let's be frank here at the moment there is only one way we are going and that would be a disaster what have we got to lose? -

Managers are certainly quick to take the plaudits when things are going well so it's only fair to have to accept SOME responsibility when it goes t**s up. -

Has NP got a lifetime pass here because despite the excuses trotted out on here by his disciples there comes a time when even for them the scales must fall from their eyes. we often hear the he has no money to spend etc excuse. well how much money do you think Lincoln have. -

Just logged, my god who's on the bench? -
It was and certainly the dugout was not a place for claustrophobics, I was there one night when some idiot let off a tear gas grenade surprised no one was killed in the crush is it still going would be surprised if it was health and safety today would have kittens.

What a great place that was the dug out, they even showed films some nights I remember watching the life of Brian there one night off my head on shrooms. happy days.

Not sure it was to be honest, apart from real glamour ties most fans don't get too exited by cup games, I mean just look at crowds for most FA cup games these days compared to say the 70s 80s I think clubs from the Prem, Championship playing vastly weakened teams has rather taken the gloss off both competitions. I mean if they can't be bothered to take it seriously how can they then be surprised when fans don't bother to turn up.

That's the main problem, there is not exactly a feel good factor about the club at the moment, I think we, well me anyway have had a few too many disappointing visits to the gate lately. -

You both make some very good points, but I'm of the opinion with all the excuses made as for our lack of success that I or you might as well be in charge of tactics and team selection, could we do any worse? not sure we would, and with your excellent tactical analysis Dave I certainly don;t think you would, look I'm well aware how fanciful this all sounds but we can all see I think you would agree that in theory we have a team with a lot of potential, the fact we played Sheffield Utd of the park for most of the game would back that up NP was definitely not at fault for the fact we did not win that game but how long can we keep making excuses for some of the more bizarre team selections and substitutions? -
