  1. I am triple jabbed, but am yet to hear a convincing argument of how owning a Covid passport prevents me passing on covid to others. Anyone not jabbed can easily show a negative LFT without taking a test, so what is the point of it all ?
  2. You're right 1.35 and 1.2 million respectively.
  3. Trundle (could be wrong but think he was our first £1m signing).
  4. Fairly easy to understand. You bought shares in players. The better the player the more expensive the shares. If the player has a good week (scores a hat trick, gets transferred for gazzillions then his share price goes up. You either cash in your shares for profit or keep them and hope they continue to increase. Or you take a punt on someone like Alex Scott who's share price would have been about 5p 18 months ago. Now would have been about 50p / £1 so you wait a couple of years for him to be sold then cash in when his price soars. The problem this company had was they paid out dividends on your shares from their profits. I have no idea how this worked as I never bought into it, but it was the paying of these dividends that brought them down. From memory Football Index was owned by 2 or 3 people from Wiltshire (possibly Chippenham).
  5. Oh well that saves a few pennies. No intention of making a 4 hour round trip to Ashton Gate for that one.
  6. Totally agree, plus Ian justifying these players by constant pedalling of 'we're a long ball team.' No we are not. We are a team in transition that has players that are not comfartable with the ball at their feet. Bentley, Vyner, Baker, Bakinson being the stand outs. They tend to lump the ball long as it is the easy option. Until we employ better footballers we will continue to see long balls pumped upfield. Enjoyed the pod as usual, had to laugh at the 'Dave Clement' suggestion. Paul Clement was also at Swansea and made a dogs dinner of that job too. Shame the Derby fan wasn't called out a bit more on the cheating, particularly when he was banging on that it was the EFL's fault for allowing the situation to drag on for 2 years. Better sound too. Well done.
  7. Amazes me , yet again, how the CPS ever saw enough evidence to pursue this all the way to Crown Court. Should have been obvious from the off there were no witnesses and therefore very little chance of a conviction. What a waste of public time and money.
  8. Thought he dealt with their winger brilliantly. Was my mom just ahead of Scott.
  9. He is an ok defender ( good league one) but terrible with the ball at his feet which ain't good for a pro footballer. His was the only name I kept shouting yesterday as he gave the ball away cheaply time and time again.
  10. Haven't seen any replays but from the South stand it looked inside the box. O Dowda thought it was too judging by his body language. Stonewall free kick that both officials missed.
  11. Atkinson was my man of the match with Scott a very close second.
  12. Thought Atkinson had him in his pocket for most of the game.
  13. I've thought for a while now that they will stay up. Bit of a gamble though as any fire sale in January will end their slim hopes.
  14. Go to Betfair and lay them to be relegated. Same bet different way of thinking.
  15. Power and pace. You mentioned Oli Mcburnie in another thread he would be perfect. Trouble is his off field character isn't great and now on prem wages. Not sure what his situation is at Sheff United after his arrest earlier this year.
  16. Ten days or so since the Stoke game, seems an eternity. Damned right I can't wait to get back down the 'Gate. Looking forward to it already. COYR
  17. They weren't exactly getting behind their team before their early departure. Up to Everton's goal it must have been the quietest Mersey derby ever. Absolutely p poor atmosphere.
  18. Will get the book but still have all the autographs from the 70's inc John Galley, Gerry Gow, Peter Spiring, Gerry Sharp
  19. Pretty sure he scored one of his trademark goals at Ashton Gate in the FA Cup QF 1974. RIP Ray.
  20. I thought it was very noticeable almost from kick off on Sunday that we were trying to slow the game down as much as possible. A bit desperate to go away to the team directly above us and play for a bore draw. The yellow cards were just embarrassing and pathetic in my view.
  21. Petrborough and Barnsley both seem hell bent on returning to League one. We have a 7 point and 11 point cushion over them, respectively. If we lose to Derby then we still have a 19 point cushion over them. If the likes of Joe Williams are used sparingly and we have a decent window in January then we won't be troubled by the bottom 3. It may not be pretty but like the last week where we picked up 4 more points than a lot of posters on here predicted then we will be ok.
