They will love it! They will probably get a bit nervous prior to going out on the pitch but that’s normal for them.

My girl did it for her 11th birthday, said it was the best day ever! Make sure they’ve got something for the players to sign, I left it a bit last minute and had to buy a city calendar and pen on the day. Loads of photo opportunities before ko when you go around the stadium but they don’t allow photos in the changing room.
It’s a great day for both the kids and the adults and something City do well in my opinion.

Thanks for advice i will get him something for the players to sign, we did a stadium tour of old trafford ( Brother-in-law is a united fan) they got the kids to walk out the tunnel with the music playing my lad was buzzing and that was in an empty stadium so god knows what he is going to be like at our ground when its full. Glad your daughter enjoyed it. I'm sure it will be a memory she will never forget

Says coming soon on the website .
you get to see a fair bit of the stadium as part of the mascot package (u12s only), and parents do to. Might be a bit early for him though if he’s never been before. Can thoroughly recommend it though

Yes we are doing this for the Cardiff game my lad and my nephew are mascots, they both can't wait, hoping it won't be too much for them and they've both been going to games for a while now

  3. Considering that a lot of people weren't expecting much from last night i thought we put in a really good performance, we made it difficult for Coventry, once they scored I thought it would be important how we reacted and we reacted well got a deserved goal and i thought we were the better team in 2nd half, The signs are there they we have a very good coach who is getting his ideas across, there are still some players who don't quiet fit his style or cant be put in their correct positions until he can get players who do suit it better and compliment those players.

There is talk on there of them making a bid the doesn't meet the release clause in some lower leasgue players contract and have missed signing him as a result

Apparently the release clause was less than a Tilson.

Is it normal for players below the Premier League to have a release clause? If so, might some of our players have release clauses?

If what that poster is saying is true then they seem to have got themselves into a little bit of a pickle 😂

But we were told, and you cannot escape the fact, that we have a top 6 squad that the previous manager should have done better with. Manning was brought in to realise this belief not to start all over again! At this present time he looks way out of his depth

Well sadly the board are chatting shite.

What have you seen so far?

we've dominated some games ok not all, and we also won 3 games on the trot which i cant remember the last time we did that, I think there are signs that what he's doing is working to a certain aspect. Ok the last 3 games haven't been great, but we are an inconsistent mid table team that's all we are, with the correct recruitment I believe manning can push us on.

The players may enjoy training and find it exciting.

As a Pro training every day, doing the basics, so they are second nature and ingrained, can become monotonous and ' boring' without a different structure.

Finding different ways to ingrain those technical abilities is good.

    However...if it's exciting and ' enjoyable'...it doesn't mean it's right.

For all we know, he could be trying to get players to play a certain way, that doesn't suit their game and not able to perform to a good level in the Championship.

Of course, as I've said it's all about opinions, I'm choosing to believe in what I've seen so far and get behind manning, I know I'm in a small minority of fans that will do that. ( not that I think the majority aren't behind him, just unsure at the moment ) I just believe if he is given the right backing he will be a great coach for us.

What evidence have you seen in his body of work to date, as a coach leads you to the conclusion you make in your first line ?

Just from my own personal view not expecting anyone to think how I do at all....he talks about a modern way of playing, he did well with Oxford, and the players talk about how they enjoy training and its exciting, just all about opinions and this is just mine, happy to be proven wrong and have no issue at all if I'm wrong but think we just need to give the guy time and get behind him.

Mentioning the same word, behaviours, interview after interview is more a case of sounding a bit stupid than boring tbh. Comes across like you’ve got nothing else to say of any substance, especially when repeated four or five times in one interview. However he’s here to deliver results not shine in interviews so that can be glossed over for me…….for now.

Not really stupid is it, he looks for these things in players he wants them to be brave and forward thinking, isn't that what we want as fans ? If you don't have players who have it in them then you need get rid of those players and bring players in that have that mentality.....that will take time, but you are right he needs results

Sorry mate but I actually can't see what he's trying to do.

Yes we play well against teams that like to play but the fact is the Championship is littered with teams like Brum, like Millwall, like Preston. Manning has not shown me anything that makes me think we have a plan to beat these teams. If we can't find a way to beat those teams, we won't ever achieve anything.

He needs to adapt and work with what he's got rather than relying on the LJ approach of constantly needing new players.

That's alright you are allowed to disagree,

Haven't we always been like this though?we've always struggled to break sides down that sit In, even under Johnson, holden and Pearson we've always been better against sides that come at us. So that's not manning, that's the players that he has right now. I think we need a top quality attacking midfielder that fits his system my worry is will we have the money to bring in that type of player it's ok bringing in these lower league players who might well have potential but we need quality proven players right now.

I think people struggle to see what he's trying to do because the players he has can't play that way we have a few that can move the ball quickly but once they give it to tanner or James the ball goes backwards.

Obviously it's not helped with comments from lansdown that we have a top 10 squad that just adds unnecessary pressure that manning doesn't Need, realistically though what do people actually expect I've watched us 32 years ( and I know it's not about I've supported city ex amounts of years) but we've only ever been league 1 championship. We are where we should be with the budget we have and that sucks cause we all want to be successfull of course but until lansdown either starts splashing more money on quality ( which i don't think he will and neither should he its his money ) we will keep ending up the same place just my opinion of course and probably get told I'm chatting shit, but nothing new there 🤣

  11. I have no doubts manning is a quality coach, I'm pleased we have him, I do find the way he talks a little boring ( nothing wrong with that im a boring bastard too ) but he's admitted himself we will get bored of hearing it, but he has a plan and a way of playing, we've moaned for years we don't have an identity of how we play and you can see what he's trying to do. Once he starts getting players in that can play the way he wants I'm sure we will see more consistent results. Attacking mid and a striker for me is what we need.

  13. Completley understand what you mean, I hadn't thought of it like that, I am finding it harder to go to games and to be honest if it wasn't for my sons love of it now I am not sure I'd bother so much.

The cost of things, the negativity that surrounds football atm especially with VAR ( granted not in our league but I don't take much interest in prem football anymore) it all get's a bit to much for me sometimes.
