Weird question, but hey: does anyone else avoid buying things that are blue - I'm talking cars, etc. - for example, I simply won't buy a blue car. Partly because I owned an unreliable POS that happened to be blue, but also because...well, you know.

I didn't want anything blue, or even navy blue when I got married. Despite a few attempts for me to at least try; it was a firm no.

My now wife actually assumed it was because of the Tory's. She was even more wtf when i explained it was football related.

Blue in every day life, it's just another colour. Though as a child and teenager i did hate the colour 😂

He's never old enough to have been around 23 years surely?

Edit: I just looked him up and he's 50! I mean I know I am still guilty of wearing jeans, T shirts and hoodies in my early 60's, but he dresses like 15 year old.

A little bit more on the club

    .....

    One of my favourite things on him;

Whenever a visiting side sell out their allocation at Dorking’s Meadowbank stadium, he puts money behind the bar at local pubs to show his appreciation.

‘I like rewarding the fans that make an effort to sort of say, “If you’re spending your money coming to Dorking, then I’m going to buy you a beer because we appreciate it”,’ he says.

    ........

The guy has lived the football dream.

He made his money working in the finance sector in London, so is rich enough to wear what he wants I guess.

  3. Have a small squad by intention and preference, so when injuries come calling, no matter how extreme... Small squad is not a reason.

    Didn't invest the scott money.

Right now those chickens are coming home to roost

Everybody loves an academy player or two, but it's not supposed to be most of your side, as the way we play. It's a bit headless chicken football 100 mile an hour football with no real precision.

There's enough effort, and talent in that team, we won't be near the bottom, but Leicester, Leeds, Ipswich we are miles away.

We run around with high energy, we have some quality moments (Conway v Rotherham) but we certainly don't play front foot attractive football.

The thing is, it's almost a good team, it's almost there,  a striker, an attack minded midfielder playing between lines, a keeper (harsh) and somebody genuinely exciting on the ball. There is in hope for the future (as always) but too often it's a slog to watch..... The last 3 Coventry, Ipswich, Cardiff........ Next to 0 high quality. To often I've thought to myself i wish city had that type of player or played that type of pass.

We are what we are, a team of quality moments, but not enough high quality, and certainly not enough precision attacking football

Are we really better than a year ago? Have we moved forward? As a club I'm sure the progress is there. The wage bill etc etc. But on the pitch, the thing i actually care about...... The one player you could build around is no longer there, sure we added in other areas, but are we any different/better?

Playoffs feel as far away as ever.

I love that we have an academy to be proud of, i love the players coming through...... It's great that it saves money. But it's supposed to compliment to how you invest - and that's exactly what we are missing.

    Random one… but I’ll try.

    Sheffield Wednesday

    Derby

    Burnley

    Pompey

    Coventry

    Watford

    City

    Reading

    Blackpool

I think it's a decent stab. Only team which seems out of place is Burnley.

    .....

I'm not even that happy with Burnley above city. I mean they are a well run club sure, but look at their success and still only 15-20k attendance. (Granted it's half the town)
