  1. Thank goodness the chance went to Sykes and not Conway.
  2. Unlike you Manning has my backing just as a new signing gets my backing as soon as he pulls on a red shirt to represent us. I don't wait for new players to prove their worth before I support them and the same with a new Manager.
  3. I watched Manning's Oxford team earlier in the season and they were definitely not powderpuff. They won at Stevenage and you know you have been in a game if you beat them at their ground.
  4. Or maybe they are playing badly.
  5. Good post. But my concern is we have the quantity of forward players but seem to lack the quality.
  6. And he doesn't seem to know what to do when he gets in good positions.
  7. I agree with your post. But found it sad that the poster should start rubbishing Tinnion as a player. I always loved watching him play. And he gave everything on the pitch for City. By all means criticise his managerial ability. He was not up to it. As for his new role time will tell.
  8. And how does all this rubbish you are spouting affect the fantastic job that Tinnion is doing with the Academy.
  9. The biggest load of rubbish I have read for a very long time.
  10. RIP Terry Venables. I loved watching your England team play. So exciting to watch. A great coach.
  11. And also a wonder ambassador for Bristol City that always has time for fans and people alike.
  12. Well done Liam and the team. Great to see a home win and three goals.
  13. Let's hope we have some top strikers developing in the Academy.
  14. Apart from losing Pearson the biggest disappointment for me is that it would appear that Manning will get no serious support in the January window. It was obvious that they wouldn't help NP but you would have thought a new manager would get some backing. Particularly with our deficiencies in midfield and attack.
  15. Far too early to assess. Manning had the team for 2 or 3 days training. In my opinion to be making judgements at this stage is a waste of time. Manning needs time and some support in the transfer window. I hope he gets both.
  16. I loved it when a defender thought he had plenty of time and Akinbiyi set off to charge him down. They got rid of bloody quickly when they saw him coming. Or they ended up flying into the sidelines like they had been hit by a truck.
  17. I wouldn't mind a modern day version of Akinbiyi playing for us now. He was a real handful back then and 20 plus goals in a struggling team. What a time that was.
  18. Well if you don't like watching Leeds you have a problem!
  19. So you have deduced that Manning is a yes man and now a sycophant as well. And he has been with us for how long. Well I am one of those struggling with this. You know very little about Manning like most of us. He has been at the club for about 6 hours but you know he is a yes man. What incredible insights you have on someone you know nothing about.
  20. What has happened to Pearson has nothing to do with Manning. So rubbishing him as a yes man seems totally unfair mud slinging and wrong. He looks a good signing.
  21. Shows how much you know about football and that's probably why you support Oxford United
  22. Good luck Liam and Chris. Hope you enjoy great success
  23. Thank you Curtis. You have given everything for our club whilst you have been with us. We are in your debt. All the very best in your future career which can only be a success based on what you have done for us.
