  1. I think Manning has to be given the time any new coach/manager gets. He should not be held responsible for the bullshit spoken by the Lansdowns.
  2. I detest the Lansdowns and their treatment of NP. But on a standalone basis , if it happens, I think this seems to be a good appointment, by their standards.
  3. My great grandad went to the game as I am sure many other relatives of posters on here did.
  4. Some are saying on the Oxford forum that he is staying with them. Be nice to find out what is happening.
  5. Saw him play this season against Stevenage. To my untrained eye he looked a really good player.
  6. With Lansdown's abysmal record at selecting good managers and the speed it would seem they have achieved this with no plan on sacking Pearson, then this appointment has all the hallmarks of a total disaster.
  7. We were privileged to have you as our Manager. Your herculean efforts at transforming the team and culture of the club will never be forgotten. All the very best for the future and get well soon. Thank you.
  8. Better interview because Marshall is far better than Jon Lansdown at bull shitting. They really all exist in another planet. Let's hope they all get the same treatment that they handed out to Pearson at some point in the future.
  9. Looking at the positives and look forward to the future!! Well let's see how that plays out with Lansdown continuing at the helm. But of course he doesn't need to spend money on players because according to the Lansdowns our squad is good enough.
  10. I think your last sentence summed it up perfectly.
  11. As I am sure has been said, the longer this process goes on the more likely it will be Curtis Fleming. No one lined up , recruitment process run by idiots and it will be cheap in every sense.
  12. Cannot see any chance of this happening.
  13. Average managerial ability! I would say he has demonstrated below average ability for the majority of his management career.
  14. I think that is a real possibility whoever we appoint as none of the candidates are better than what he had and indeed appear a down grade on Pearson.
  15. It really does massively underline that until Lansdown has gone we will continue to decline. I wonder just how low the club will sink before the curse of the Lansdowns is lifted.
  16. Great to see Alex settling in and looking so good. Good on him. I hope he tears the Premier League up.
  17. How does a Manager who has any knowledge of the tremendous job that Pearson has done in extremely tough circumstances, take a job with the people who have sacked him. I know it is about money but they must surely realise what low life's they would be working for.
  18. Well he owns it and until he goes can do what he wants to it in spite of the feelings and wishes of the supporters. So sadly I think it is.
  19. Trouble is it his club not ours.
  20. Pearson and Rennie gone, mass of injuries. I would think there is a good chance we will be in trouble.
  21. Thank you Nigel. You were building something here and changing the culture of the club. The fact you were not supported by Lansdown is a disgrace. All the very best for the future. The possibilities were there if you had been supported. The club will never move forward until the Lansdowns are gone. I hope the day is coming when that is a reality.
  22. Last week there was also a very unhappy manager making his views known to the press because there was no one else to talk to.
  23. Too true. It would be great to beat them. And shove two fingers up to Ashton and Lansdown and some of their more arrogant fans. And whopping endorsement of Nigel and the work he has done.
  24. Cannot even begin to understand someone who wants Nigel to stay, starting a post to see who people want to replace him. A great shame to see posts like these from our own supporters.
