Tin hat firmly on here, hasn’t he scored a few pens this year? Whats his total in open play?

Subs were mind boggling
There isn’t enough variation/quality in the squad. There isn’t a great deal he can do unless he looks at changing the set up (ie going two up top).

I don’t think he’s lost any pace, in other games he’s latched into stuff and outpaced his opponent.
Wonder if he’s winding people up?
If he is, he’ll need to change his title on LinkedIn also.

Steep learning curve for Brady. Big names not always winning prizes.

Either way, it’s a few bob for a player who wasn’t particularly outstanding.
I don’t remember feeling disappointed that we never signed him.

Yes, big upgrade on Hunt at the time and we have struggled in that area ever since, using Scott, Sykes, even Bell.
For 6m euro?

Which would be so Bristol City. Have a quality player in our grasp and let him go, instead of realising the talent and keeping him.
We are still suffering at RB, a few years after allowing Perreira to leave , when iirc we had an option to buy him.
Was Perreira worth signing?

I’m not convinced Manning will take the deal on.

I've not been able to watch recent games but following tonight's stream in anticipation of seeing more of the recent football we've produced.
Have closed off the stream in the hope that this will restore "normal" service!
Same. I’ve missed the last couple of fixtures - was expecting (hoping) for something more having read posts on here. Much underwhelmed (at the moment!).

Someone else who’s watching the same game as me!
As proven, we don’t have the ability to unlock teams who sit deep, having the ball in midfield and defence, on occasion, is drawing them out and giving us space to get into
More chances will come second half
Think you lost a tad bit of credibility when you agreed Williams has been brilliant this half
Brilliant is somewhat overstated

They look nervy at the back as well, so allowing them to sit deep would only counteract this. Want them to be isolated
They look about as dangerous as we do going forward to be fair. We have had a lot of possession I would suggest, the majority probably in the middle of the pitch however we have been very sloppy with it too (Williams in particular).

Like I said I think it's a dying art. Mehmeti just confirming that by missing another. I hate to call that a sitter but its a very good chance again.
I take it back

I swear players have lost the ability over the years to head a ball. At pro level I don't get a player completely missing the ball almost when the ball is pretty much perfect height. I guess it's not something people practice as much nowadays with the focus on keeping it on the deck.
Think it was more a lack of anticipation than anything - looked delayed and on his heels at first glance.

Look a bit sloppy in possession currently. Hopefully we can feel are way in to this one shortly.

Good episode with varied opinion, although thought the discussion on the Man Utd beating team wasn’t to my opinion. Knight aside I don’t see how any of the current team could displace any of those players in a starting 11.
Interesting that Gavin Marshall has agreed to come on the podcast now the accounts are out. Some challenging questions rather than blowing smoke would be good.
Bit strange picking McCrorie in the combined eleven. Bloke has yet to kick a ball.

Is everything ok, as you seem to be super-sensitive about everything LM?
Any new manager/head coach is going to be inheriting the team of players assembled by his predecessor. A lot of people believe that LM has actually inherited a solid team of honest players with a great team spirit and work ethic.
They may not be especially gifted, but they are arguably a lot better than you’d usually expect to to inherit from a sacked manager, as they were already performing ok under NP.
Of course LM has been given a solid base to work with, so are you disputing that then? You seem to be part of a group on here who are throwing around snide comments and seem determined to create a them and us attitude and try to twist anything into a Pearson v Manning narrative.
We had enough of that shit under LJ, so how about accepting we all want to City to succeed and enjoy a ******* good win yesterday!!!
Great post.

Isn’t it bollocks though that sometimes it takes the expiry of a contract on the horizon to kick players to another level.

How much have you been paid on Boxing day to say this?
To be honest, I’m Pearson all day long. Felt as though he’d been treated harshly, no one will convince me different unless he comes out at some point and declares that it was health related. Whilst it isn’t Mannings fault, he’ll have to win me over. Mainly owing to the board treatment of NP. 3 wins on the bounce won’t do that, however it’ll bloody help. The league is hugely competitive so I’ll take my hat off to him. Continue getting the points on the board whilst he makes his tweaks, I’ll warm to the appointment. In time, if he’s got points on the board now as he changes style (gradually) and then performances improve / as his styles are implemented, but the points dip a little he’ll remain in a bit of credit.
Im on board with a lot of your posts. I feel today today though, credit is due. Enjoy the 3 points.
