He speaks really well. Another good first interview. The drive and determination from the new signings is great to hear. All sound like they are coming here for the right reasons. It was interesting to hear Wilson say that he was impressed by the clubs early business in the transfer window. Flying back from a family holiday in order to complete the fitness tests shows a great attitude as well. Delighted with this signing.

Delighted with this! I have to say, the early indications of this transfer window are extremely exciting. But also, the long-term impact this could have on our progress as a club. We actually look to be signing for the future, and not just the present (something we have been guilty of in the past). Well done to Nige, Gould and the recruitment team so far.

I think we could be linked to anyone of decent quality for the Right Wing Back role and it would be excitement. It's the position with the most urgent need of addressing. If we can secure a decent right wing back, our squad looks much more competitive. The bonus attraction with Wilson is he is 22 years old, League 2 player of the season, and likely on an upward trajectory in his career.

I agree, it seems like lazy journalism to link him to Watford. Former manager who he performed well for = must follow him to new club. At least that seems to be the logic to some reporters. I think its a step too far for him currently. And I mean no disrespect when I say that, because he could do very well at this level. But we are surely a more suitable club for 'the next step' in his development. He's 22 years old, and we could offer him regular playing time, and he would have Tanner (and possibly Sykes) for competition. I don't think he gets that opportunity at Watford.

Strangely, my favourite part of the kit is the socks. I would like to see us keep the hoop feature for future years.

It's a shame because I think Szmodics would actually suit the system we now play. Lots of movement, he could have been a good alternative to Weimann/Semenyo with his pace. Or would have been a very good option to have from the bench, also feel the same about Matty Taylor, we spent however much on Wells, when Taylor could have played that role for much cheaper.

Whatever the situation may be financially, I will just be glad for this deal to be done. It puts us in a better position moving forward. We will no longer be tied to paying him crazy money to not even make the matchday squad. Potentially gives us room to manoeuvre this summer. It's been a bad deal all round, but we can't begrudge Palmer for the contract that we gave him. At least we can now move forward with a more even wage scale amongst the squad.

I struggle to follow the finances within transfers. So we would require Coventry to pay us out of his contract, or we continue to pay the difference between his new wage (Coventry) to the wage he was on with us? So say he signs a deal for £12k a week with Coventry, we would continue to pay £8k a week for the remaining year of his deal with us?

Coventry fans seem to think that we will rip up his contract in order to allow him to sign for them. I would assume that means that they pick up all of his wages, albeit on new reduced terms? @Davefevs is that correct? Or would we continue to be tied to him financially?

A member of his coaching staff worked at Chelsea previously. He managed Palmer at youth team level. Also worked with Maatsen (loan), Todd Kane and Dabo.

That will put us in a good position in terms of leveling the wage budget across the squad. As Nige mentioned, an equal pay scale could do wonders for team harmony. See Huddersfield and Luton as examples.

I can't help but find it bizarre that the club has done a kit launch for two goalkeeper kits, before the home or away kit. Especially with the new sponsor on board. I get the kits are bright and colourful, and aren't the norm for keeper kits, but I don't think I've ever seen other teams do this.

Probably the only team to do a kit launch for 2 keeper kits... Surely the home kit is today as well.

Gregor recently posted on twitter stating that he had a big interview that's "not to be missed". This was about a week ago. He then have an update saying that he was hoping it would be able to be published by now. My guess was a new player, possibly waiting for the club to make the announcement. Delay likely to be due to the jubilee holiday. or could be the annual interview with Gould or SL. Anyone heard anything about it?

Guessing that will be the away kit. Rumoured to be the home kit being revealed today. I going to take a guess at Rinomhota wearing it.

Joe Williams in the away kit the year before? I would hope the club keep us this trend.

Olise had a £8m release clause in his contract. He should have been worth far more. I think we will get over £10m for Semenyo, Pearson will be very clear that the money needs to be right in order to sell him. However, if rumours are to be believed and a number of clubs are interested in signing him, then we could end up pushing more towards the £15m range.
