  1. I do have one tip for them in the future….

If presenting a game featuring two teams containing ‘City’ in their name, perhaps use full names to avoid confusion.

Numerous times Manchester City were referred to as ‘City’, whilst we kept getting called ‘Bristol’.

But overall, they gave us good coverage, and highlighted some real positive aspects of our club.

It was nice to see both sides represented equally in the build-up, and post-match analysis.

  2. As if he hadn’t already, he certainly put himself in the market window tonight.

    He is the complete player.

National coverage for him tonight, and the pundits were showering him with praise.

Nige states that it will cost a lot of money if any clubs wish to sign him.

I fully believe he will go on to play for England.

  3. Incredibly proud of everything surrounding the club tonight.

We’ve presented ourselves on a big stage, to a wide audience, and everyone did us proud.

    - The players gave everything. We matched up to one of the best teams in the world for 70 minutes +.

    - The fans created an incredible atmosphere.

    - Neutrals are complimenting the structure we have in place.

    - Academy graduates throughout the squad (and being highlighted as Prem ready).

This is a fantastic time for everyone involved with the club.

    Let’s enjoy what’s to come!!!

There was one bit second half when the attacked down their inside left, and TK put the after-burners on.  Was like Sonic The Hedgehog on a boost!  He glides.

This was my main concern following his injury…. Would he retain his pace?

The answer was clear as day… absolutely!!

    Very impressive.

There were more than 4 minutes added at the end, probably to allow for the kerfuffle by the corner of the South Stand and the Lansdown. What’s the relevance of blowing when City have possession? Is the ref supposed to wait until the opposition has possession and then blow for full time?

Not criticising his whole performance, I thought he was fairly consistent throughout the match.

I did think he lost some control during injury time though. 4 minutes added on, and 3 bookings during that time.

My point with the final whistle, is that I would argue that the phase of play had not ended.

  6. Not seen it mentioned yet but…

Freedman would have a key input in deciding where their young players are loaned out.

Our interest in O’Brien is likely to continue in the summer.

Perhaps Freedman is keen to confirm that we would be a good fit for his next loan move?

  7. Where does it leave us?

It puts us 6 months ahead of schedule.

I would say it’s a very successful window. We generated funds from Antoine, and saw some big earners leave.

Sad to see them all go, they all did very well and were fully committed during their time with us.

But we have made a big step forward in regards to shaping our future squad. Mehmeti and Cornick will offer quality at key times, as well as strengthening our wide options, which we previously lacked.

The groundwork has been done for Currie (Wimbledon), and I think we will see him arrive in the summer.

For the first time, in a long time, I would describe our situation as Healthy.

    Great work from all involved.
